Arty shell sound when hitting dead tanks

I just noticed (yesterday) that if your arty shell hits an already dead tank there is a "plink" sound like hitting a tin or something - didn't notice it before - but I like it :)

 

Just had to share my surprise - carry on, nothing to see here :)

I noticed it yesterday too, though from recollection it was more of a donk than a plink :unsure:

 

At the time I really didn't like it as it meant that I'd missed the guy hiding behind the wreck.

 

I do like all these added extras though.  They add to the atmosphere.

I notice that shelling a tank which is blown up before your shell hits it invariably results in a "plink!". Grr!

 

As far as I remember, it's always done that.

I notice it a lot because for some reason, that's about the only time I hit with an arty shell.
