Ranked battles: Being on the losing side should NOT have any possibility of making chevrons!

About half of the losing team should instead not lose a chevron.


 

Fix this ASAP please Wargaming for more enjoyable ranked battles where hopefully most players play for the win :-\

Couldn't agree with the sentiment more. Maybe dial it back on the winning side to balance; ie. Top 10 gain Chevrons to balance that only the bottom 8 in losing team will lose one. No loser should gain, winning must be everything in a team game. Should give *roughly* the same drift to the top as before too.

 

edit: Wargaming must be aware that ultimately this mode will live or die on the relative balance and resulting meta that ensues. It's a tricky ticket to be fair but what they have now definitely isn't right.

Considering how many instantly give up when it looks like you are losing, so you have more working against you. Yeah I agree. As so far the way the ladder system works, kills it more then it should.  But at the same time a ladder system is not ideal for this mode IMO either. As the way it works now. The mode won't live long for most I suspect. I don't want it to be easier to get rewards as such etc. But still... it's not working well atm.

Honestly people are making a bigger problem of this than it is. I too have witnessed some base camping mongoloids get rewarded who are the main reason their team lost, and I can confirm it's a really painful view. The truth is though that these players don't often get the rewards. It's not a sustainable playing style. They lose many games because of their playing style and the times when they finish in top-3 are just the exception to the rule. They don't finish there nearly as often as we think.

 

Just like in random battles, the base camping top tier T30 will sometimes finish with 4k of totally undeserved damage but when you look at his win rate and average damage with his T30 the numbers are ugly and you'll quickly realize that he gets games like this once or twice every 100 games.

 

Try to see the big picture gents. These players are being rewarded more often than they deserve(which would be never) but it's definitely not often.

You're going to have not-so-good players at a rank where you expect "good" players in no time if half the losing team can't lose Chevrons.

Have the same problem - so much players plays very passive until the end while others (like me) tries to go hamm and win the game for us. The thing is - those passive cowards usually gets those shevrons , while someone like me gets dropped into situation whrere i either  getting rewarded for agressive play, either getting rekt because some heavy behind who came to ,,support'' me, refuses to lose any precious hp for sake of game winning and choses to wank of - all because top 3 BS . I bet that in randoms these situations are less common by better than avg players.

Well the amount can be made slightly less then half...that was just a suggestion...

World of Tanks needs revisiting on any kind of team based mode before making a game mode reliant on teamwork to gain.

To be fair to those on the losing team everybody who scored more xp than the bottom player on the winning team should NOT LOSE any and those ob the winning team who scored less xp than the bottom player on the losing team should lose xp. So only who rely ob being carried every game while doing nothing really lose and those who do bad anyway and lose every time.

Which is under 'Current update' not 'Gameplay'... and might be why I had never noticed it myself.. :confused:
