Its really easy.

Just go to ur install folder.  say c:\games\World_of_Tanks.

Check out 2 folders.

First mods.

Copy the files in the folder ending with 0.9.19.0.1 to folder 0.9.19.0.2.

Do the same with folder res_mods.

Thats it.  Restart client and ur good to go.

Just delete all mods from your WoT directory and its subdirectories and be done with it! That is a super easy fix to all mod related issues!

Would be happy to do that if WG just put two small things in the client.

1 - Lightbulb when someone is/was spotted

2 - Auto set crew back to vehicle

I can live without all other options but these two I really miss when playing without mods.

pff long method...

rename 0.19.0.2 to "whateveryouwant"

rename 0.19.0.1 to 0.19.0.2

But I prefer numskulls method..dont use xvm at all.

Yeah I know, but its a safe way to test first. And it takes about 30 secs, so....

1 - Agreed, that could be usefull, because counting to 15 in the heat of battle is difficult sometimes.

2 - Is already ingame? Only have to press 2 buttons...

Nah. Can't play without reskinning the Brits to Bronze-Green, the Japanese to their original Reddish-Brown, Russians to a darker 4BO-1 Green and finally, the French and Chinese to a dark Military Green. :hiding:

You've misunderstood what he's referring to.

Well I may be wrong, his "1 - Lightbulb when someone is/was spotted" is vague, but I assume he means the lightbulb you get over team mate's tanks that tells you if they are spotted rather than a lightbulb that counts to 15 when you yourself are spotted.

I meant the lightbulbs on the playerspanel where you can see which tanks of the enemy team are spotted, were spotted or havent been spotted yet.

I know I can look at the minimap to see which are spotted but those lightbulbs make it a lot easier.

Tnx for this post :bajan::harp:

XVM is very usefull, I play better since I have it. And almost all very good players use it. I dont understand why WG does not include almost all the mods by default :izmena:

XVM gives serious advantage.  WG should decide is it fair , so all people should have all features of XVM in game or none, but all should have the same game.

Few days ago a new great patch was released for World of Warplanes, and it disabled (temporerly) hyrunmod,  which is analogue of XVM but  for World of planes.

Once "ase" pilots suddenly become disoriented and begin to look more even with others.-( I never used Hyrummod and until it was online again I shot down so many great hyrunmod pilots who were suddenly blind about who is best pilot in enemy team). Same is with tanks.

So I propose either to incluide XVM in official game or ban it, game should be same for all players ( ultimate fairplay policy).

Automatic Equipment. The one that automatically equip vehicle with Binocs/Cammonet/Toolbox (and demount from vehicle it is currently having them) if it use them.

That is one I am really missing after I stopped using mods.

4 - Garage clock

5 - Gold protection for ammo/kit resupply

Also prefer the original Battle Assistant mod, the ingame just jumps around too much.

Kind reminder that there are non-XVM versions of both automatic crew- and equipment return as well as tank icons. Oh, and "XVM" isn't just the stats, it's more like a framework for mods.

I really doubt that, but placebo's a hell of a drug! Even if you know what to look for, the outcome is far from decided. It does give you another thing to blame when things go down the shitter, though, so I guess that's something.

Besides, I'm pretty sure the really good players don't use many mods at all. WG has actually done a fair job of including mod functionality. The ones I use currently are for convenience or eye candy, not for game performance.

As a side note: Trusting green/light blue players to perform consistently good in a single battle is typically a grave mistake.
