i enjoy the stridsvagn 74 a lot. i like hte gun handling, the gun depression and the alien look-alike silhouette. but aren't gun depression (albeit excellent) and gun handling not enough to compensate for, well, EVERYTHING else? view-range? bad. dpm? bad. armour? inexistent. speed? very bad for a medium. i doesn't really reach its 45 km/h top speed on soft terrain. i guess the terrain resistances are at fault for that and not jsut the specific power. so what do you think? what bothers me teh most is the speed. if only it were able to maintain its top speed more consistently, that would be a huge improvement. also, the ammo count is annoying low

Gun(handling) and depression are the reasons I think this is the best. Sure, in some situations it's R/P/S -game and some are better at some situations, but most of the time I prefer strv74 over others.

Personally I do better in the Chi-To than in the Stridsvagn 74.

Turret on it is simply too squishy.

Its a good medium - for me on a par with most of the other TVI mediums, which are mostly good.

It's the best support medium at tier 6 by far. Gun is great on it. But.. if the targets get's to close and want's to brawl with you. It goes from great to "meh" rather fast. As it lacks DPM vs other tier 6 mediums to come out on top. Or even vs most tier 5 prem mediums that has almost as much HP as you. As my Matilda BP has raped a few getting in my face.

I've been playing it as a TD, camo net and bino's and camo crew, and did very well in that configuration. Only after that experiment and reverting to 'standard' medium tank equipment did the WR go down. It is great at poking over a ridge and pin pointing the enemy, but as a regular medium it's not so hot. So I agree, it's a very good support medium, but 'support to the max' I think is the way to go and change the tanks designation in play style from medium to TD.

VERY bad.

Right up to the point where you have it max upgraded and 100% crew :P

I like it a lot.

i found it pleasant right aout of hte garage. i guess i was inexperienced enough in tier 6 for subtle teaks not to be noticeable. i think it was my first tier 6

3 marked it without 6th sense so yeah, it's fantastic. Not idiotproof like some British rng monster at tier 6 huh. Lack of DPM really hurts as it is especially important at these tiers where pubbies rush you like no tomorrow and you really take damage while your gun takes a sweet time to reload.

I like Strv 74 a lot.

This vehicle is even better when it's driven by Female crew.

But yeah, speed on this thing is one ot those main problems.

Saatananrunkkuvaunu 74 also IMO the best tier 6 medium tank, but it'a a tough fight with Cromwells and T-34-85Ms.
