I have this strange mental block: I totally ignore the colour of the aiming marker, i.e. I don't see if I can penetrate or not. I rely purely on my knowledge of other tank's weak spots. Many times before the battle start I have told myself to pay attention to the aiming marker colour, but then I never do. I tried different markers, makes no difference. This isn't laziness, I just don't know what it is. Perhaps it is a sign that for me the game is oversatured with helpful hints? Dunno.

Swap back to regular ammo after pressing 2.

Who am I kidding, I only carry 2 ammo. :(

That marker isnt as helpful as knowledge, as i believe that it doesnt take angling into account.

Its still helpful, as your more likely to remember the weak points of enemy tanks if you can see the weak points in real time rather than on an armour inspector.

And its a good thing that it doesn't take angling into account, otherwise it would be too powerful and would lower the skill ceiling.

Yeah, strangely this is exactly the same case for me. I never once looked at the color of the marker, always aim by memory.

Also: Making sure my teammates haven´t all buggered off or died on the flank where I am.

Not getting all vengeful on some enemy who managed to put a shot into me, trying too hard to him shoot back and overexposing myself in the process.

Getting too greedy too early when I´m an assault defense and the time is about to run out... lost a cupple of games because I thought "there is no way we can lose this now, let´s move out and farm some damage".

It would indeed be too powerful.

I only ever use the marker on tanks where i dont know the weakspots, ie new premium tanks which i havent taken a look at yet, and after the battle i check it out on tanks.gg. I just dont find the marker reliable enough as it doesnt take angling, spaced armor etc into account.

check my team's activity during start of battle.

It's something i keep doing over and over, noticing just past the point of no return that oh my, my team didn't want this part of the map.

The marker is only displaying the nominal armor thickness and not the actual armor thickness...

You would get a green marker with an IS6 gun on the upper plate of an E75. So much for the usefullness of the marker.

I for myself often forget to praise Stalin and RNGesus before I fire my gun :(

Pressing the 3 key to fix my gun and the next shot is HE. It has happened more than once and I don't pay any attention to it, so there's that thing. Then there is "playing smart" but I rather make it interesting and go to garage earlier so that doesn't count. :child:

I keep forgetting not to stop in the middle of a field to take shots at red tanks. The little voice inside my head saying "don't stop, find hard cover" is silenced by the screams of tomato red devil " KILL IT KILL IT NAOW!!!! YOU NEED TO KILL IT BEFORE YOUR TEAM BEATS YOU TO IT KIIIILLLL!!!!!"

I always make the mistake being the only one who tries to win, sometimes when things are tied up. I try to push a flank, thinking that my teammates will cover me and assist me and everything ends up with my teammates just staying behind and watching me die.

I've had this bad habit of poking in to multiple enemy firing lines to take a snap shot, thinking "they won't hit me". Well, more often than not they do. I've been consciously trying to get rid of that, but it seems to take a lot to completely get past the impulse.

Sometimes I forget to equip binocs on the tanks I use them on, or forget to equip a new module I have unlocked.

About the marker color, I sometimes use it to find the weak spot when I can't see the tank directly, i.e. only the red silhouette. Other than that, it's not really that useful, as others have said.

Not so much something I forget to do, but something I need to do more and better, reverse-sidescraping.

I forget that protecting my sizes by angling my tank or only exposing the parts of my tank with the highest armour against a tank that shouldn't really be able to pen me is pretty much stupid. Because they bounce a few shots & then switch ammo & pen every shot.

So, you could say. I forget this game is really a pay to win game!
