Until now I've used VirtualDJ without headphones and it proved quite successful, but I decided to up my game a bit. So, yesterday I've bought myself a 2-channel Hama mixer for a ridiculous 20 euro price, and it does its job excellent. No cracking noises, no distortions, the sound is perfect. All that was left was to buy a USB sound card so I could split the channels, and I got it for about 7.5 euros, which is WAY less than I expected.

I also found a VirtualDJ Pro which allows me to align the channels by software. Here's the setup:

I'm extremely satisfied. I've got this for my personal pleasure, but if the need arises, I could throw a good party. I've actually had a few of those in the past years.

So, anyone else interested in stuff like this? If so, what gear are you using, where are you getting your music, what are your experiences etc.?

I personally use a Behringer DJX750 mixer and Stanton T.62 turntables. The vinyls i have are mostly bought from www.htfr.com and from random second had shops.
