If you get lucky, you can meet at least 9 enemy TD's. Just like me today.

Matchmaking was never so crazy as it is right now...

A wise man once said that for a TD player, any tank can be a TD.

On a serious note, the mentality of TD "gameplay" is a disease. It's like people have to camp in a bush. Games with a lot of TDs tend to be extremely derpy, simply because every player is waiting for something to happen. Don't even get me started on the brilliant map designs where there is a 'bush and rock fort' next to the base that covers both the base and every approach.

I generally have no problem with TDs defending a lane or whatever, that means they have to actually press 'W' and risk getting overrun.

So you take a medium or heavy, go to an enemy tank and shuffle forwards and backwards in a some sort of semi hull down or side scrape effort with a vert, fainting the bot opposition to take the shot and create the counter shot opportunity and you think that puts non-TD playstyle significantly more challenging? Lol fok outta here

Edit- I read some similar attitude from some players towards light tanks "all you do in light tanks is drive around spotting enemies and not get killed" yes because it's as simple as that..

..and yet you have repeatedly similar moan threads in regards how to complete these piz easy class of tanks mission "impossible to complete LT15"  or "TD mission is driving me insane!!" It ain't that easy, no class is

I'm pretty sure his point is more like, "I think TDs would be fine as a class if the player base didn't rape the gameplay". Most TD players play TDs because they suck at the game and someone once told them that TDs are meant to camp. With high alpha and penetration the class is quite forgiving in this role. Of course it's not the optimal way of playing them and it prevents them from learning but it's also the easiest, most retardproof playing style around. Defender is hard to play compared to this playing style. This is why lots of bad players are driven to TDs and why they remain bad.

On the other hand the more advanced players generally steer away from turretless tanks. They don't need easy-to-play lolpen guns or insane alpha to get results and prefer more flexible tanks. The corner camping bots don't really care if they don't have view range(they don't even know how it works) or a turret because it doesn't matter in the way they rape these vehicles.

On the other hand when these good players play TDs they don't find the obvious retard platform in the base and sit there brainlessly all game long. They read the minimap and try to move to positions where they have shots instead of having the mentality "Well, because Standard mode is [edited]ing [edited] my team either wins with no contribution from me or the enemies eventually have to run into my gun so I'll get a few shots out!"

Another problem is that WoT has tons of TDs. In other games the developers generally realize fairly early on that a game doesn't work if everyone plays a sniper and they impose a limit on this. This usually means a cap of 1-2 snipers per team. In World of Tanks it's not uncommon to see 5 and you'll occasionally see as many as 9 and because most of them play with the mentality "im td i must camp" even if they are playing a top tier T30.

When there are lots of players camping it's borderline impossible to attack in most maps and the gameplay is very frustrating. All active plays get punished while half of both teams sit still waiting for a draw. And many awful players call this "diversity". This is just retard protection that suffocates all the interaction that makes the game fun and not even bad players enjoy it. The last thing this game needs is more people told to camp base.

For some reason World of Tanks has the community with the worst skill communism ever. There are so many players who feel they should be able to contribute without any effort or learning even if that means removing all the skill from the equation. So when the game gets dumbed down there are lots of these hip hip hooray bots gloating at the good players who see the obvious flaws in how WG are breaking the game this time. Of course they're happy because they're too stupid and clueless to understand the situation.

Camp in a bush, spot the enemy, save the sorryass of a medium or heavy tank that isn't looking at his mini map, get no thanks for it, and then get accused of camping in a bush. Please save us all from blinkered hypocrites.

What a ridiculously generalised comment by a failed reroll who played two Skoda's, very badly I might add, and feels can sum up playstyles of different classes and players as though HT players are "better" or some trash like that. First of all most players play all classes, even many hypocrites that moan about arty you will find play arty themselves "just to complete missions" lol. Now if you want to moan about bad players that's fine and if you want to suggest TD numbers should be limited I'd wholeheartedly agree, maybe 3-4 max per team is enough indeed but if you are suggesting players use TDs because they are bad players or because they have amazing better aim times and gun handling or criticise players for not using them as breakthrough tanks I couldn't disagree more tbh.

Better view ranges? O dear... actually in regards to all your comments, most MTs and HTs, post tiers4 have equal or even better view ranges, having tanks not made of paper and a turret is way more retard proof along with better traverse and mobility in most cases, you ever play a TD on a city or small map? Obviously not. Higher tier classes have equal or even better aim times and accuracy and I see so many players being terrible in every class, HTs are more noob friendly imo since you can take a few shots, bounce a few shots and angle your tank to sidescrape or go hull down showing an impregnable hulk of steel like the T29, and can also ram and multirole a few options, TDs tend to be one trick ponies and therefore, combined with no turret or armour in most cases, difficult to play well

and? I don't know who that is btw or who most players are but regardless, does it make posting stupid generalized hate comments more acceptable therefore?
