Now that some of the more useful mods are incorporated in the game client I'm wondering what mods folk still find useful? Personally I still use Crew Return, Auto Equip, Session Stats and an interface mod to move the health bar to the bottom centre of the screen. Not really interested in XVM discussion though guys as it always goes south, so excluding xvm what other mods do people still find useful... thinking more along the lines of cosmetic stuff etc.

Even if they've been implemented somewhat, I still can't drag myself away from using the default XVM Hitlog and the XVM Minimap with Aslain's. Otherwise (excluding just visual stuff like HangarManager or reskins/remodels and the like) it's just Jimbo's crosshair, Aslain's All-Seeing Eye Sixth Sense (+Metal Gear alert), YasenKrasen's session statistics and Safeshot.

Never tried any tank skins but always been curious about them, do they impact on game performance much? My PC is pretty potato :)

Not that I notice (I get some problems with the game since my PC Isn't exactly fantastic, but I don't feel it has anything to do with skins/remodels), though I imagine it might depend on how many you use. I use;

I mainly make use of aesthetic mods;

- Clock in the garage

- Zorgane's gun sounds

- Milkym4n's M4 Rev remodel/skin

- Jimbo's contour icons

I use some mods because they make the game better.

Sometimes they just looks better while others have a function that just helps me enjoy the game,e more.

case in point is the zoom in mod added to the game, and I will try to be gentle here.Its complete and utter rubbish compared to the mod its supposed to replace.

There I feel better now.

Entering and exiting zoom and having the game remember what zoom level you were at the last time you used it is completely stupid, I don't think it even resets between battles.

Oh great I was firing at something 400 meters away now I enter sniper mode for a target 150 meters away and I'm instantly as X16 zoom.

So I use a zoom mod that defaults to X2 every time you enter sniper view.

Don't use the battle assistant any more its still way better than the game version but don't play SPGs that much to worry about it.

I do use modded gun reticles as im still in search of the perfect one, even more important now the autoaim mod is illegal,

Sound warning for sixth sense

XVM of course because I like the improved player panel and after battle stats seeing how badly I did.

Think that's about it

Ekspoint's Auto-Equip (standalone removable equipment mod) and some skins for a few Chinese tanks that don't have HD models yet (Milkym4n's), that's it. I solved the clock in the garage problem by purchasing a cheap desktop clock that stands under my monitor; it's a great mod because it works in garage, in game, if I'm playing something else and when the computer is switched off. :)

I would like a larger selection of reticles

QuickBaby's Modpack with XVM is a forbidden or allowed mode? If I use it, will my account be banned?

I use QB's modpack mostly for the crew return, equipment auto setup, clocks (garage + match) and gold protection for ammo and consumables. Xvm I could go without if I had to, the others I would want in vanilla.

Destroyer73Ady I've already answered your original question in the policy update thread, yes it's fine to use, now stop posting in every thread about it.

I use QB modpack, mainly for autoreturn of crew and the lightbulbs next to tanks that tell if they have been spotted and are curently spotted.

I'm using vertical tech tree mod and love it. It's much more clean and visible then current WG one:

Also depends on which skin you put on the tank, and how many of that tank there are in the game. If you put the race controller skin on the AMX 13 75s and then get a game with 2 of them per side god help you when they get spotted. The game has a fit.

And also for crew that aren't 100% trained yet as well as 1'st skill etc.
