I saw this same video already.  It's neither new, nor exclusive.

There is some new footage in here but it is mostly footage used in the GF video. Also, it once again includes HD Rock and who doesn't want to see more of that kind of thing?

Why is this an important change to WoT?

Looks nice and all, but I really couldn't care less about a graphic update. And not only because a graphic update won't fix a broken game. And also not because my PC would most definitely not be able to run that with good FPS.

I played this game for over 6 years now - and I never cared about the graphics. Apart from some REALLY ugly things and techniques they use, it's more than enough for a game like this.

The only kind of game where I need good graphics are RPGs, adventures and alike. There I want to get lost in the worlds the devs created and discover all kinds of story and "life" between the pixels.

Here I just want to shoot stuff.

They good give us a game mode where we can explore these maps in a golf cart (premium carts could be made available, with higher speed, better terrain resistance and other optional extras!). They could also include hidden bonuses, untold treasures of free XP, credits and even gold (respawning at set or somewhat random intervals). The HD rock could serve as a meeting point for foraying parties (platoons).

:)

WHo cares about pretty buildings? I tend to eitehrcrash through them or shoot them out of my way and once I'm in the game I'm too busy to admire the landscap anyway.

Well, say what you want about Wargaming, but i have to admit those maps look beautiful.

I would very much prefer some balance changes etc., but still, looks really nice...

Graphics are all well and good, but if the gameplay is terrible then I won't be in-game to enjoy them.

I find it weird (and to some degree sad) that people say something along the lines of "I don't care about graphics they should fix other things first"

.... that's not how it works... that's not how it works at all.

They got teams working exclusively on making the maps. They have nothing to do with balancing tanks or changing the UI in the garage or the sound. So work is being done simultaneously on all projects without delaying another one. Besides development is being done many places like in US, Australia and of cause Russia.

So just to make things clear. A company making games doesn't have a set of bars they slide op and down. For eksample: WG making HD maps, therefore, making new sounds or UI will take longer time because more work has to be put into the other one. that is not how it works.

Oh and on the topic. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the HD maps. It will give the maps a new refreshing look and at the same time, they will probably take the opportunity to rebalance some maps.

Looking at this video, what exactly is improved about the 'improved physics'? Will we be able to drive over the HD rock, or grind it into dust? Or we will we get stuck on all sorts of tiny bits both visible and invisible on these lovely HD maps?
