Hi,

Iv been away from WOT for a year and i come back today , install all the updates etc and settle down to start with my tier9 tanks and find the game is absolutely unplayable with lag ? Its not even showing much as a high ping (max iv seen is about 35ms) but so far it has :-

Finish the countdown and then i sit there for 20 secs not being able to move.

My tracks are spinning but im not going anywhere.

Spinning round and round.

Then after 5,10 or even 20 secs i jump to where i would have been on the map, usually dead.

My hardware has not changed , i have a high end rig (well was a year ago) 16GB ram/ GTX 1080 / i7 cant remember processor but is plenty.

My ISP is top notch 75Mb/s (never dropped) 20ms ping on your server EU2 usually.

Suggestions appreciated, many thx.

Dimitri is spending the server's rent money on wodka.

It started happening weeks ago, everything was 'fine' but now there's a compensation and a note they'll keep an eye on it. Still behaving erratically.

Assume it's a 4th source of RNG and you'll be fine.

You can use AOL in UK? Wonders never stop.

There are multiple posts about EU lag issues again on Reddit and WoT forums. Somehow I doubt they are all using the same ISP.

I didn't have any lag last night, so my suggestion is to clean the squirrels nest out of your router and download PingPlotter and use facts rather than 'WG did stuff......' because nine times out of ten you'll discover it is your end of the network at fault. This isn't to say WG haven't had problems in the last few weeks, but those are now cleared up.

But nor is each person's route to the servers entirely unique.

You didn't have any problems but numerous posters did. What time did you stop playing?

Must admit the lag with WOT is fairly hit and miss for me but last night was very laggy.

Shocking last night.  Apparently the Ships had a fault also.  played one game just now and it seemed tank was unresponsive to command at one point.

Great.... I get a day off work and this happens.

I rarely get major lag spikes in WoT or WoWS, happens though. Mostly I get the steady molasses like feeling, a hint of lag but I guess I've become somewhat accustomed to it over time...:sceptic:

Most of yesterday evening was fine, but sometime after I had finished trying to rank up in my Maus in ranked battles I was playing wack a mole (trying to get SPG15 done for the 260 missions and get another female crew member!!) and it started going mad - I was on TS talking to another guy who was playing at the same time (different tiers) and he started to have problems at the same time as me - he is in Scotland, I am in Southern England and after a while it became apparent that the game was having the same sort of pattern of lags for both of us - including both of us geting disconnected from the server a few times within seconds of each other, as well as the general timing of the lock ups etc. I would suggest therefore that either there was a major fault on the network route into the wargaming servers from the UK , or a problem with the servers themselves. We also both noticed that there was a win 10 update going on, but even after that had finished, and after restarting my PC and changing servers there was still a lag/lost packets problem - very ironic the day they gave people a free day of prem for putting up with the laggy servers etc (as in I really hadnt had many problems like this that I can remember lateley - then it happens just as they say sorry!!).

my connection used to be fine, until Brexit last year.

Ever since lots of delays and issues with communication between UK and EU.
