Who thought it was a good idea to make all buildings and obstacles BLOCK the camera? Like someone seriously thought that it is a good idea that everytime you unzoom, the camera launches on top of the tank pointing downwards and then you have to quickly swipe back to get it point forward or zoom back in? FIX THIS.

Make the camera able to go through obstacles, it's not that hard to implement.

I second this motion.

Can we get a third?

Some kind of detection of when the camera is inside a building, and the building turns into see through mode but still with an outline would be extremely welcome.

You know, like all other modern games.

I'd welcome a change in which the vegetation turns transparent around you regardless of the camera used. Right now it is transparent only when using the sniper view, as changing to third person makes it "pop" solid again, making driving through a forrest a bit cumbersome when not using the "drone" view by zooming out a lot.

Fourth (or fifth?). I find this to be one of the most annoying things in the game at the moment.

Since you do tend to stand close to solid cover, it happens quite often. Speaking for myself, when it happens I find myself momentarily confused which direction I am looking, then have to adjust the view to where I was looking before I changed the zoom and find the target again on my screen. In this game the second or so it takes to do that can make the difference between killing the enemy or being killed.

For example in a map like Ensk, in the town with the narrow streets where heavies tend to go.

Regards, C.

Extremely annoying and confusing, I agree. It's a bug, right?

That isn't a feature of modern games. We already had that in the early 2000's. But WoT always was lagging behind with those convenience features...

It has been like this so long I just assumed it was another WG balancing feature.

It's not often that someone comes to the forum with a concern or request that nearly everyone agrees with.  This is one of those times!  The camera can be infuriating for this very reason.

+1

+1 here too, it's especially annoying since i use the scroll and not the shift key to go in and out of sniper view, being near a building does this for every scroll-step

A bug is unintentional. A feature is intentional.

Its inexplicable that they have never fixed this, its fundamental to the game. Whenever I get too close to a building I get a sense of impending camera doom.

I find that incredibly frustrating, either the camera plummets looking at the floor or for some stupid related reason it makes the gun point to the sky when looking forward.
