I am surprised it hasn't been mentioned but what a awful to gun gun it has! It seems to never penetrate so many tanks when it hits that you have to ask why bother to waste any shells in a battle?

You will be more surprised to find out that the Forum has a In-game vehicles section where people are sharing tips&tricks about different tanks and their opinions about them.

The Ikv 103 currently resides in Game Guides > In-Game Vehicles > Swedish Vehicles > Tank Destroyers with 2 different topics.

Let me guess, you played three matches in it?

You do know that his top gun fires only HEAT. I'm sure you know how heat works after 16K games. As due to the low HEAT pen, the pen loss over distance after it hits spaced armor, usually renders it useless when it hits anything. Even on "paper" targets. Thus even tanks like the Matilda is a "beast" hitting the side. Or the German tier 5 medium skirts and turret shields etc. Or the tracks of.. any tank. Thus sniping at the side of most targets usually gives you a zero damage hit. As you either hit the spaced armor above the tracks, or the tracks. So it takes some getting used to.

Tank is fine. Hard to snipe with because of the shell velocity, but you do 330 alpha at tier 5.

It's a great TD, get used to when to pull the trigger. So don't try to lead a moving target at right angles, only coming towards you or away from you, use ridge lines, it has speed, good camo, and the HEAT ammo makes it a monster derp gun.

I'm always a little confused about this, is it the 4th worst penetration out of 11 tier V TD's by a margin of 1mm and worst premium penetration of all tier V TD's by a margin of 18mm?

or

that a tier V glass cannon TD with similar armor and health has 54mm more pen with AP rounds than the Ikv 103's premium HEAT and 97mm more with APCR with 1000m/s & 1250m/s shell velocity vs 418m/s and vastly superior gun handling?

or

that in addition of having a good & punchy 85mm the tier V SU-85 can also mount a 122mm that fires HEAT with the same 140mm premium pen but has 370 alpha?

or

that Hetzer is all around a better package at tier IV, combining the best armor of tier IV TD's, 350/410 alpha, similar mobility, faster aimtime and 2,4s faster reload?

or

That 5 out of 6 regular tier III TD's has the possibility of using better premium rounds than the Ikv 103?

If u are bottom tier then u will have a hard time penning, even with premium, but if u are mid to high tier then it can be an enjoyable little TD.
I quite enjoy playing this tank, not my favourite mind u, but once u get used to its quirky nature it's fun, mebbe my definition of fun can different to others:)
Just checked... 328 battles, 1 MOE, 7 High caliber, 1 Top gun so I like it. Meant to say it can be challenging to handle but then again we all like a challenge don't we?
