Really that update is bollocks and crappy. MM are the most broken thing ever.

What happened to the good fight? Since the new update that's nearly gone. Either you Crush the enemy, steamrolling him in the dirt 15-2 or your team gets the inihilated.

The only positive thing about the new update is X tier lights and the female voices.

Didn't even read

I guess you had streak of rotflstomps

Edit: oh what a surprise

They are unfortunately part of the game, caused by bad players rushing tiers. 3 tanks do 0 dmg and snowball effect does the rest.

I can take 1 or 2 or even 5, that's part of what happens, but when you are looking at the statistics after and it crosses 300 games and 95% are of either team getting utterly steamrolled, it's past a streak of unfortunate events.

Good battles are totally gone. Just turbo-lost, turbo-win, nothing else. This game is in a free fall and the end is near. Unbalanced MM, rigged RNG to keep tomatoes happy and punish good players. And huge pressure for premium content selling. You are a tier IV loser who barely knows map? Doesn't matter comrade, grab your daddy's credit card and get this shiny premium tier VIII, which is frontally unpenetrable. Those bad skillers flanked you and shoot you into the a55? We will give them bad aim so their shots will go to the Moon. You know -+25 % RNG, that's the true e-sport!

Try playing lots of games in a Tier 8 tank.

It's a disaster zone in my book.

This past week I can only remember 1 / 2 games that was close. The rest were over really quickly one way or another. Even scores like 15-8 hide the actual stomping that goes on. Scores like that only occur thanks to the last surviving guys picking up a couple of kills in the clear up mania stage. The result was decided long before with bookies closing the book on bets on a game score of 15-4 until a little bit of heroics at the end.

It might the case of everything is related:

- bad tanks (poorly balanced)

- bad players (uhm.. yeah myself included)

- bad maps (Yes, I'm one of those old map fetishists )

:P

Not sure if players overall have gotten worse, but I put to you that tank balance is maybe not as good as it used to be, and maps definitely aren't what they used to be.

It's mostly because WG caters to average joe players. WG has made sure that players have zero incentive to get better.

We had boring faceroll matches before the update, we have them now and we'll most definitely have them in the future.
That said, nothing really changed.

But the changes to MM were a MASSIVE improvement. No idea how anyone could disagree with that...

50% of roflstomps are due to bad allocation of players to teams. when one team has 5 players with over 2000 WN8 plus 3 with about 1500 WN8 and the other team got just 2, the result is very predictible and usually quick to happen.

roflstomps are bad in both ways for normal players who don't play a statpadder tank such as one of the B-C 25t or other fast tanks that do damage fast.

getting roflstomped is bad of course, lucky if getting enough damage in to not lose creds.

but when your own team roflstomps and half the enemy team is already dead before your own tank reaches the middle of the map, it gets very difficult to get one or two shots of damage in... :-(

In my experience, this mostly comes from too accurate/powerful guns introduced over the years.

Take a risk now and you're left with a steaming pile of scrap metal, which starts the snowballing effect.

Less damage means more reaction time and more opportunities to try plays out.

Or I'm looking at it through rose tinted glasses and it was as bad back in 2012, not sure.

But i'm definately having more fun at lower tiers where my tanks don't get obliterated at the first mistake.

In my opinion, with the advent of the new MM I have seen more "close games".

However the very nature of the game lends itself to one sided games due to local superiority and consequent "rollover".    It is a known military tactic.  Look up refused flank or central defence.
