Just to measure if the forumites think the new Matchmaker is a success or not.

Not going to add. Since such an option is pretty irrelevant.

the new one works better overall

only T8 really suffer currently, so potentially a change to how T10 matchmaking works, ie, set them for 5-10 as the primary, over the 3-5-7 format, and that will help to alleviate the problems facing T8 and make it not so annoying to play them

otherwise it has actually made the game a little better as you have things you can shoot, and your never stuck in a game as a T6 medium, while the whole of the enemy team are T7+, or like I experienced a few times, the only T6 in a full T8 game, that was never fun

Well that makes your poll pretty irrelevant then as those that don't care for either may not vote and that means the result is less accurate.

The new MM is a thousand times better than the old. It just needs a few tweaks, but it's much, much better that the old MM.

I liked the new 3/5/7 system after 9.18 even when bottom tier you had plenty of targets to shoot at and got a decent rotation of top, mid and bottom tier but since 9.19 with platoons almost never (as in less than 1% of the time) getting a top tier chance in the 3/5/7 format it really penalises socialing and playing with your friends/clanmates.

edi: voted in favour of the 3/5/7, just fix the damned platoon mm already WG.

New MM VS old MM:

+ The days of facing 10 +2 tiers and being only bottom tier is gone

+ There is always something equal to fight against

+ Fail platoons gone

+ TDs balanced with each other (thank god)

+ Tier 3 is much more playable tier. No longer meets Tier 5s. In return, Tier 4s suffered from being often in matches where more than half of teams were tier 6s. And that happened often. Those days are gone.

+ Max 3 arties instead of 5. 4-5 arty games were rare, but when they happened, those matches were typically completely unplayable.

+ Top tier on 3-5-7 is satisfying

- Tier 8 MM is unarguably worse; while there is "always something to fight against", you also very commonly get into T10 matchup, rarely meet tier 7s and seeing tier 6s is unbelieavable miracle.

- Tier 8 Pref is even worse than regular tier8. Sure, you dont see tier 10s, but you see tier 8 only battles or battles with tier 9s very often. Most of pref mm tanks rely on bullying lowtiers and make up for not seeing tier 10s by being tier 7.5 tanks, but they still see lowtiers very rarely, and have to fight almost only tier 8s that tend to be overall bit better than pref mm tanks...so whats the point?

- Platoon MM is kinda harsh unless you play tier 10 you practically never see -2 tiers and very often get to bottom tier, especially with tier 8s

- Old MM balanced heavies with heavies and mediums with mediums due to "MM weight" system, now mediums and heavies are balanced with each other which creates inbalance. Quite significant but should be easy fix.

- Steamroll matches are more common. Not necessarily always a bad thing.

Really, kinda mixed feelings. If the tier 8 wouldnt be so bad (i can deal with broken AF premiums but the constant tier 10s and no tier 6-7 to compensate is just stupid) then the MM would be definitely better than old one even if it has few flaws. However, tier 8 is my favorite tier, so i am not so sure. I think i just need to adapt and play other tiers more. Overall i think it has potential, but it needs major fixing in order to be actual improvement.

If i have to choose i would go back to old MM.

Now all my games goes like this.

Tier 8 tank. In tier 10 game.

Tier 9 tank in tier 10 game.

Tier 10 tank ALL tier 10 game.

This is getting old real fast now.

I havent really noticed a difference in the MM to be quite honest.

No matter what tank I play I usually, and by usually I mean 7 games in 10, against tanks that are 2 tiers over mine so no difference here at all.

The new one has much more potential but it's currently so broken on some tiers, including 8 which is probably the most important tier in the game due to the premiums. I need to spam tier 8 a lot for credits atm but it's making me rage to play a tier 8 tank and only seeing tier 8-10 tanks so I've been taking a break.

The matchmaker needs a memory where it seeks to give you a somewhat equal distribution of higher and lower tier enemies in the long run. Yes, I'm aware that you'll still be bottom/mid tier more often than top but if you're playing tier 8 the average tier of the enemy tank shouldn't be 8.30. I am currently feeling like I am being taxed every time I play tier 8 and although I like the fact that I never get completely awful matchmaking(like 8 tier 10 tanks per team), I can feel how I steadily get disadvantageous matchmaking and I am constantly fighting an uphill battle. Going +1/-1 would've been a much simpler and better option.

The matchmaker also needs to learn to separate heavies and mediums. Simply put they are not the same tanks, they totally don't fulfill the same role and therefore shouldn't be treated as the same.

I rather have the old MM back. Being low tier nearly all the time is getting old fast.

I vote for Light tanks as bottom tier, op view range and poor accuracy beyond 200m :izmena:

I'd rather have the tank equivalent to an AK-47 than Mattel 16.
