Hello fellow tankers and WG balance department!

After months of extensive research and experimentation I've found the solution to the current problem in WOT - domination of super heavies in random meta because of poor balancing.

Never fear! No need for armor rework, no need for firepower decrease. Leave them intact! All you need to do to make them balanced is:

*epic drum roll*

Top speed: 10 km/h (downhill 20)

Tank Traverse speed: 10°/sec

Gun Traverse speed: 15°/sec

There you go!

From my point of view, the annoying part with Maus and Type 5 isn't its current speed or frontal armor, but that even when they show you their side it's enough for them to angle like 10-20 degrees and you can't pen with standard ammo anymore. If I could have afford to spam 100% gold ammo then these tanks would suddenly be a lot weaker, that should also tell you something about WG balancing... Then I also hate the Type 5's HE gun. Doesn't matter if you play hulldown in your IS-7, he'll still derp you without problem. I'd rather like to see premium ammo cost the same as ordinary ammo, that would atleast allow all players to handle these tanks, although it would make the HEAT spam even worse...

EHhh and how that would fix anything?

They are now only more annoying to play but when you fight them nothing has really changed.

They are fixable. For Maus just revert all buffs expect DPM buff, and for Type 5 overhaul the armor layout entirely, remove derp and buff 14cm.

I think part of the solution is to reduce the maus/types HP. I mean, they have armor already so why this huuge amount of HP? And in the end a lot of players playing those tanks don't use the armor effectively but only their HP.

You guys know this post was a joke right?

But all jokes aside, why do you think slowing them down would make them more frustrating to play against? No logic in there.

Reducing the speed to absolute minimum (old t95 levels) would make them very boring to play, never ever making their way to the course of the battle and leaving them alone to be gang-raped.

If you want a tank that is basically a fortress, it should be slow as a slug, because why would a 200+ ton tank move around like a 50t one? It just doesn't make sense. They would be frustrating and boring to play and their numbers in MM will be drastically reduced. Problem solved.

Making them slower would sure make them less fun to play and maybe help against superheavy spam but when you still happen to face one it is still also frustating to fight against because they still have stupidly high amount of armor and guns like on Maus and Type 5.

It honestly is a poor solution and there are wayyyy better options than that.

That is exactly what the Japanese army ordered, resulting in the projected super-heavies.
