I was going through the Ammo wiki page for some reason, and stumbled upon a table of ammo types and their short characteristics. One column has a title "Can Pre-Detonate", and I dont understand what this means.

Could someone explain?

Buildings, walls, fences, the ammo crate in cap circle, thing like that, can be shot through using AP and APCR but will cause HEAT, HESH & HE to explode

Fort Knox package reduces the chance of ammo predetonation.

OP asks a reasonable question.  First response sensibly answers the question and this is the best you can come up with?  /sigh I don't know what I should have expected.

OP: captainpigg's answer is right.  AP/APCR are just solid rounds that will go through the walls, fence posts etc until they hit a 'hard' object like a tank or a house whereas the other ammo types are reactive and will detonate on the first thing they hit and do very little afterwards - which is why HEAT will go through some level of spaced armour but its effectiveness is greatly reduced.

I don't know either.

Let us take some time off to think about it

and then come back and share our theories.

Well there are two theories:

1) You don't want to give good advice

2) You have no good advice to give

I'm starting to think it's number 2.

Buying Fort Knox is good advice. It is a good deal for the player, it helps keep the game free and allegedly reduces ammo predetonation.

As suspected, no good advice.  Only terrible attempts at memes that were out of fashion before you even signed up to WoT.

You stalk me. Mother warned me against people like you. You probably cannot afford Fort Knox. That must be it.

I honestly do not know why qp is not banned.  I realise he is not offensive.  He is never constructive and rarely funny.

I was taught if you have nothing to say then don't.  the internet appears to breed the exact opposite.

And yet this post of yours has zero relation to the OP's question.

I at least tried to answer it, to the best of my ability. You fail.

I know what you mean.  I think he believes he is being anarchic or 'edgy'.  Sure, some people seem to like his tin-foil hat theories which seem to coincide with their inability to grasp the simple game mechanics or his 'anti-establishment' agenda or even his 2012 WoT memes but really; he gives very little to the forums (other than bloating the thread count on a daily basis).

Shame really, as I reckon he is probably a nice enough guy IRL.
