a direct hit by T92 shell 100% absorbed?

RNG, I bounced the shell of a Jpz E-100 on my RU 251 the other day. I bet he raged a little.

Well when you have the same HE pen tier 3 arties had before. Stuff can happen. That or you hit a module.

thats not RNG...is just WG crappy balance

 

on RU and any other tank you can "bounce" shells...because are some zones undefined as a damageable zones (just like new inexistent weakpoints on new tanks...visual are here, you see machineguns, hatches..e.tc, but on 3d model ther miss)...so result is an "bounce" for AP, APCR or HEAT. Best example are Guns.

HE from biggest gun in the game !

How is possible to be 100% absorbed?? What balance is that?

 

its not about pen too because HE do damage with splash not with penetration...so..?

I had somewhat similar situation old days in ISU-152 - I couldn't deal any damage to IS while shooting with BL-10 gun, 3 times in a row :).

That's why I said "somewhat similar" ;P. Both situations looks like something that shouldn't happen (IS absorbing/deflecting 286 pen shots...). Kinda flawed game mechanics or extremely unlucky RNG rolls.

Can confirm this multiple times on my Ru and other lights. HE is the only antidote for this.

I can absord full or nearly many HE shots with Jagdpanzer E100. BC arty of course easiest. I have spall liner.

 

I found some screenshots. First friendly Maus shoots my casemate side in beginning, fully absorbed.

This is the situation in the end of game. Of course I have no idea if all shots were full impacts or close.  I play Jagdpanzar E100 often in ranked so I might try to keep an eye for a good replay with several direct hits.

i dont say that because is arty...i say because is biggest gun in the game and fire HE.

now if biggest HE shell from entire game cant do any damage...whats the point for others?...

its another story because on APs and oother shells made for penetration almost everything depends by angles and modeled zone in 3d. (like i said...exist a lot of models wich are only visual and not damageable in 3d) after that if you hit tracks outside of an modeled tank its only critical hit, if you hit enemy gun is bounce..etc.

 

but on HE is almost everything about splash...and that splash on such a high caliber should never fail 100%.

 

i think its first case like that...i never saw before a T92 100% absorbed...

 

if T92 is absorbed on a "balanced" Maus means NOTHING can counter it. For example in sidescraping..

I bounced an E75 with my UDES.  Only thing I can think of is he hit the gun barrel.  His post game comments were "Salty".

Dunno. You need 660- damage roll to do zero damage through MAUS UFP (with the spall liner). Maybe shell hit the gun and exploded a bit further away? Or maybe some spaced armour shenanigans?

The Maus gun is pointing the other way and is hidden by the church  It looks to be a direct hit on the UFP but a track hit is a possibility.

 

If it hit the front of the track you have 200mm spaced armour followed by 50mm track armour followed by 140mm of hull armour, or at the side 105mm spaced armour followed by 50mm track armour followed by a big space, followed by 140mm hull armour.
