Hi ALL,

I recently noticed regular YOU TUBE streaming players kitting out there tanks with Large Pks of consumables? I understand the passive % that is given with these pks, but hell of an expense if your going through 3 per battle????

I believe its 30000 credits (50 gold) per pk maybe its just me? I tend to run with a small med pk, small repair pk, large repair pack on HTs, LTs, MTs. And Small and Large med pk, with small repair pk on the TDs.

Just wondering what trends you run with, as I'm more to earn credits if my expense is only 3000 credits on small pks.

Respect to ALL, Cheers. :)

I use small kits, they are multiuse anyway so the big ones barely have any benefit and I would like to save 40K per game.

I use Large Repair Kits on select tanks that tend to have their their engines and tracks taken in a single shot. Luchs and a few others that I can't seem to recall right now. Other than that it's Auto fire Extinguishers and Small Med Kits all round.

20k credits for a large pack, though if you're smart you'll stock up whenever there's a half-price sale on consumables.

I tend to use large first aid packs on light tanks as they provide a small bonus (10%) to your crew surviving and lights generally have the crew tightly packed behind not much armour so one shot in the right place can take out a couple of crew. I don't use the large repair packs very often, maybe on heavies that get tracked a lot in order to get them back on quicker. Auto-extinguishers are an automatic choice on anything above tier 5; below that, you can usually only take a couple of shots anyway.

I used to run large comsumables on most tanks, but now that they are re-usable, I found that a small one is just as effective. Still feelsbad when 2 modules get knocked out with one shot, but after 90 seconds it's all good again. Still use the automatic fire extinguisher since I'm not fast enough with reactions on fires

I bound consumable 3 to the 'E' key (for extinguisher); much easier to hit quickly, the problem I have now is realising that my tank is on fire.

Higher tier tanks still get an AFE because of the passive bonus.

They are 10k each when on discount (20k if you pay full price), if you buy as many as you can afford when they are reduced then even if you need the credits you can sell them back for what you paid as soon as the special is over.

If they are coming from your depot then you don't notice the cost.

You can do the same with regular packs, saving you 1500 credits a time.

I mostly use premium fire extinguishers and regular repair and medkits.

I have probably used less than 10 large consumables during my entire wot career. So no, I don't use them.

Fire extinquisher is bound to some button on the side of my mouse for quick use. Unless i derp around in those other repair/heal menus taking a hit that killed crew and put me on fire :(

Large extinguisher because I have better things to do like avoid being hit again or fire back than sod about trying to put it out manually.

Smalls for aid/repair because that's normally all you need..

always small, who the [edited]uses large man, they're expensive as [edited], you can spend all that credits on spamming gold instead on maus or type 5.

I use small rep kit and med kit + automatic extinguisher on almost all my tanks. I buy small kits when they have discount to save extra credits and i have like 200+ automatic extinguishers from personal missions and events so i don't have to worry about fire at all. I do use large repair and med kits only on few tanks ( large repair kits for leopard1, and large medkit + heavy spall liner on maus seems to be a good idea), but again, that's because i have a stockpile of them from missions etc.

I use premium consumables in tier 10 tanks.

And since I don't play that much tier 10 anyway, I have never actually bought any large repair or medkits. I get plenty from missions etc. In fact, I have sold them a lot during the years.

In general it's small kits on all my tanks (1 of each) apart from my Tier IX / X which upgrade the extinguisher to the auto one.  Never really seen the need for the larger ones.  The passive bonus is nice but not worth the cost (for me personally).

I think at one point I used to put a large and small repair on my tier V crew trainer heavy tanks but would never actually use the larger kit so it just provided the passive bonus for free.

Most tanks get the small kits + automatic fire extinguisher combo.

Few that were used in CW still have the large kits.

Few fragile ones have a small med kit + small and large repair kits.

Same here. The automatic fire extinguisher repays itself, as my tanks hardly catch fire... Plus I think I still go a lot of them from all kinds of missions

Mostly automatic fire ext. and small kits. Large med. kit on e.g. autoloaders prone to crew deaths. E.g. T9/10 Batchat is pretty much screwed if both the commander and gunner is dead. A heavy tank can manage without the commander or driver for a minute.

On a few tanks i use large kit all over, mainly on T8 and above LT´s and MT´s. Reason; you get hit in the face by a Type 4/5 derp and every module/crew is broken and you need to escape fast. And on "mobile ammoracks" like the Cent.AX there´s seldom only one module that gets broken if you get hit. On slower tanks with some armor i use smal rep.kit (different play style).

question, with the large kits, do they still have a 90 second cool down?
