On most tanks (some China and Russia ones with tanks in front excluded) i stopped bothering with a fire extinguischer - these 1 in a 100 games where i burn it is fine as i get to enjoy having both a small and a large med kit on board for the remaining 99 games. Small kits for "use" and a large med kit for the passive bonus or if i need to get rid of stun during late-game.

I'd need to test it specifically but I'm pretty sure using a small medkit removes stun from everyone, same as the large. I've noticed it in battle and meant to check it out a few times but never actually did. Anyone else notice this or is it all in my mind?

Yup. Small kit can also remove "stun" effect for all crew members.

20k credits for a large pack, though if you're smart you'll stock up whenever there's a half-price sale on consumables.

I tend to use large first aid packs on light tanks as they provide a small bonus (10%) to your crew surviving and lights generally have the crew tightly packed behind not much armour so one shot in the right place can take out a couple of crew. I don't use the large repair packs very often, maybe on heavies that get tracked a lot in order to get them back on quicker. Auto-extinguishers are an automatic choice on anything above tier 5; below that, you can usually only take a couple of shots anyway.

Yes, small kits remove stun from all members and can still heal one crew member at the same time, and have the same cooldown as large ones.  Not much point in the large ones unless you have a tank susceptible to multiple crew losses.

I have never seen the point of the big medkit. Thats just a waste of money for my taste.

However I still use the big repairkits on tanks which are likely to lose their tracks + one important module, like ammorack or even the engine.

I have 175 tanks. I only have premium food on 6 of them. 2 of them are premiums, all of them high ROF tanks. I have large repair kits on 20 tanks atm. All of them for mostly the same reason. Like the Swedish tier 6 medium premium. That usually lost the engine when the tracks got taken out. And the T95 has it for the bonuses it gives. I have zero auto automatic extinguishers. And only have 1 large med kit on the Type 4 along with a small med kit. Due to the new stun mechanic. So I'm not a big spender on those.

I bound consumable 3 to the 'E' key (for extinguisher); much easier to hit quickly, the problem I have now is realising that my tank is on fire.

Higher tier tanks still get an AFE because of the passive bonus.

Never thought about using 'E' for that. And I probably have the same issue so I probably should get a firefighting crew first with testing that out.

Two setups these days:
- Food + SmallMed + SmallRep
- Auto.FireExt + SmallMed + SmallRep

Before arty changes I would sometimes use this setup, but those times are long gone:
- Food + Auto.FireExt + SmallRep

I do have a total of 1500 large kits (incl. auto fire ext) in depot, although these were gathered in ancient times.

Yep, it's 90 sec for both types. It was originally going to be 60 secs for the large ones which would be largely the only reason to consider using them over smalls. As it is with both being 90 there's almost no reason to use large over small.
