So recently I turned "purple" because i'm grinding to bc 25t and light tanks give retarded amounts of WN8 and because after the last XVM expected values change my wn8 increased by like 300 because i had padded in low tier lights in the past. So now clickers focus me as if they were starving children and i was a sandwich.

Anyways is it a good idea to use XVM to predict which one finger click warrior will spam you with HE love? Because I'm assuming it's the bot arty players who think it's a good idea to focus a tier 8 tank before a tier 10?

Here's the problem you have man and it's very simple to see when you take a step back from it. Let's look at the simplest form, "Good Player" with XVM and "Bad Player" with XVM.

"Good Player": As someone who has good stats you clearly influence battles a lot. You do this by going to the same places "Good Player" goes to influence matches and you react, in general, as good player does to situations. Naturally this means that you will be in focus for "Good Player" much more than "Bad Player" who has driven off into some random spot and parked behind a bush that isn't big enough to hide even half of his tank. In fact, he may well already be dead. Who cares.

"Bad Player": KILL DA PURPLE. KILLLLL HIM. KILLLL LHIM SO MUCH. I KILLEREDEEDEREDE HIM I AM PURPLE NOW!!111!

Aha! Yet another XVM in-game stats complaint. It's past time that WG disabled them.

Let XVM owner continue with whatever else, of course, but disable in-game stats for the enemy team. They're the reason for much poison in the game.

Just the clickers? I thought purplz get all kinds of crazy yolos targeted at them and it's one of the reasons they win so many games.

Also I've noticed that hunting purples with arty is a waste of time 9/10 times and there is easier dmg to be had elsewhere. Unicums have had practice in avoiding arty shells? ;)

If given the choice of 2 easy targets however, ofc the more dangerous target gets the sweet lovin' of M53/55.

If you play agressively they click you no matter what color you are.

And tbh sure I've noticed couple times that SPG preferred to shoot my lower tier tank rather than the top tiers standing right next to me but in my experience it's quite rare and definitely not that dramatic as you make it sound.

Or maybe I'm used it who knows..

But how would you know if they even use xvm ?

We have had this story before on the forum and found out the arty player in question had never even used xvm.

So... do I understand this right... OP claims that XVM is wrong in designating him a unicum because he doesn't play that good and XVM is biaised by giving too much WN8 to light tanks.

So the other team is wrong in focusing OP, because he is absolutely not the other team's best spotter / sniper ?

Press TAB and look at the scoreboard. XVM users have an X next to their name. A golden X means he has the services activated = he sees the stats
You need XVM to see who uses XVM, though.

It's generally your playstyle that gets you clicked, not your stats.

Too bad, man. Some people just seem to think that playing like crapand killing yourself (or missing several shots if clicking) to get some dmg done to (what they think is) better players is a good move.

I personally don't. Even as I'm not too conserned about my stats, I'd rather play normal and only prefer better players if I got equal chance to hit them.

Maybe you dhould pick some high expected value tank and just rr to lake for some 2000 games? That'll XVM camo you for a while. ;)

Indeed. So it is ok, for the op to use xvm, but not for the arty .... that seems a bit hypocrite ...

So how do you know that you're being targeted because of XVM then?

Because he thinks that after he turned purple 100% shots by SPG are because of his fabulous new colour?

Not really. I have witnessed players being xvm yoloed by other players just because they happen to be purple. Worst / best thing depending on which side they are ofc is if they lose multiple tanks in the process without reaching their goal.

Give it a try and activate xvm and when you get a game with a ton of reds, yellows and arty with you as the only green get spotted in the back and wait for the rain. It's not that they hit you which isn't the real problem it's that they would still focus you even if they have the perfect target in their face.

As a clicker:( I usually go for the easier targets, not moving,:) and if 2 tanks are side by side I will aim in between them both get splashed and stunned. Don't use XVM so dunno who is what all tanks are viable targets. All depends on your luck as to whom gets targeted.

You need XVM to see who uses XVM, though.

that would require to use xvm yourself right vanilla playersdont know who uses xvm and who not

so lets conclude :

- every arty player (what ever a arty player is ...) uses xvm

- every arty player does only xvm focus

- even if you are the only tank spotted of your team if your shot its xvm focus

- xvm focus all the way even if there are better players than you and you got shot  xvm focus baby ...

and to make it even more funny :

why should xvm focus be something bad ? every unicum would go after the biggest thread first and thats most likely other skilled players  so it would be viewed as a sign of skill

so for the hypocrits out there why is xvm a good thing as long as its done in a class that doesnt start with an "A"
