Can someone explain to me why I get less xp than 140 (for example)

I did a combined damage +  assisted: 7085

140 did a combined damage +  assisted: 2747

?????

Because object more than likely spotted his own targets, resulting in full xp for his damage caused.

Your assistance damage is halved for XP calculations as the spotter and the damager recieve half of the XP each.

Object shot 1.6k dmg from over 300m so I doubt he spotted all of that by himself... but it is possible.

Object has well over the maximum 445m spotting range with a good set-up. So yes it's highly probable he did.

Not as simple as that.

There are an enormous number of factors which can result in big differences in XP earned. If all his damage was caused to heavy tanks and all yours to lights, he would receive far more XP than you.

There is also a bonus for critical hits caused, he fired more shells, hit more, penned more than you. More damage = more chance to critical hit. Setting vehicles on fire, or ammo rack explosions also give a small bonus.

Small bonus for destroying a tank...etc etc

Depends who was shooting at what, the wiki states there is a different exp for damaging different tank types. You also need to factor other things like:

- Module damages reward some amount of exp (light tanks gets an extra for this against heavy tanks) and I see he fired off a lot of shots, it is possible he did module damage to quite a few of those tanks. You need to knock out the module/crew member for this to count.

- The obj did around 1k damage bellow 300m, it could be that he did the damage bellow 200m which earns a close combat bonus say if you did your 800 damage between 200 and 300 meters you lose out on that bonus.

- Minor exp bonus for the killing shot.

It is quite complicated and it is possible that all the small things just piled up or does this happen with all of your high spotting games?
