When does WG correct the damage done by artillery?

Since the last couple of updates artillery has been downgraded from a threat to a nuisance...   Yes - after the update arty does deliver more criticals, but with everyone having renewable repair kits, that almost negates one another, so the extra criticals doesn't really matter anyway..

 

The most anoying thing is the nerf in damage...   Now arty really is useless....   Now I can understand that it should be hard to hit a moving target and that there is a lot of variable factors when shooting artillery.... but WHY THE "#¤#"%#¤% (beeeeep)  can the grenades only do a maximum damage of 400 hp damage?   

I have both the German G.W.E. 100 and the French BC 155 58...   The german has an avarage damage on a grenade set to 825-1375  and now it does a maximum of 400 hp damage and the BC aprox. 200-240 hp damage..    

I feel so fkn useless in the artys now! Sitting there with a 210mm gun and a 250 pounds grenade...hitting a target right in the [edited]only to deliver 400 hp damage... That´s fkn pathetic..

On the other hand... It's really nice to be driving all other tanks, cause arty is no longer a threat.... But WG... please make up your mind...  Either remove artillery completely or make it's damage realistic and fair again...

I play arty a lot and I can say that nowadays they are doing what they are supposed to do. Support. When I have my best games in tier X arty, I do damage about 3000 points. So not so much of a game changer.

 

I play a lot. And all the arty whining and else, there are only two things are truly broken in this game: autoloaders (including the french arty)and russian meds. Everything else you can handle by adapting except those.

1. Can you explain what the term "buff" means?
2. Can you explain what the new role of arty is now and what the problem with the old arty class was?

Looks like you really have no clue about the stuff you are talking about here, which is a bit scary...

Sorry... correction... wrong term... It should have been "nerfed"  or "spoiled", "ruined" or some other word for it....     

The new role for arty is as I wrote... to be a nuisance and NOT a threat.  Not even a light vehicles are scared of the tier 10 artys, cause they can take 3-4 direct hits before dying.

And with a fire rate of 2 shots a minute, it is clear that arty stand no chance of making a difference if the team are mainly noobs, cause you can't help the team killing the heavies. :-/

So you can get your standard G.W.E 100 grenades to do more damage than 400 in average?

Arty was completely broken and ruined the entire game, because it was a main damage dealer. And that didn't work. At all.
They fixed that and made into a support class, which it should have been from the very beginning.
Now it dishes out massive stuns, which you completely failed to mention yet.

In other words: Get used to it, arty is quite balanced now. It's ok to fight against it and even fun to play it again.
Do you really want the gamebreaking easymode damage back?

Right, I forgot how "fair" it was to get hit for 1000 hp in my tier 8's by tier 10 arty...

 

Arty is actually pretty strong and a lot more useful now, it's way easier to help your team and instead of the rng slot machine that does little more than ruin someone's game.

I tested out a bit of arty when it got changed, and I don't understand your problem. I was virtualy always in the top 3 of the team in terms of dmg done.

 

The reason is simple, the reload is faster, the splash is bigger and it's a lot easier to hit a moving target now and most importantly the better aiming times, not doing dmg on a shot is pretty rare these days.. So instead of missing 3 times and then killing some poor smuck with the power or RNG, you'll hit ppl 4/4 shots but for lesser dmg.

 

And 400 +400+400+400 is still 1.6k. You simply aren't ruining the game for a single player anymore with RNG. Now you just annoy everyone without forcing them to stay parked behind every rock they can find. That is the main reason why they should never increase the dmg on arty again, camping behind rocks to prevent the risk of getting singleshotted or losing most of your hp simply isn't a good gameplay mechanic.

 

So in other words, I'm sorry that RNG no longer allows you to troll ppl in you 'skill'mobile. Well, let's be honest, I'm not. It was about time that one class stopped making 90% of most maps inacessible.

Wow... completely missed that part where he claimed arty crippling shots or oneshots to be fair.

You just forget that 400 + 400 + 400 + 400 doesn't do jack crap, when the target has 2-3000 hp and they can hit you with 500-1000 hp every 10-20 seconds with an accuracy of 90%, while you only have a 50-70% chance of hitting them 2 times a minute IF they are so kind not to move....

No it should not. This is a game, things should be adjusted from "reality" to make the gameplay any good. In reality there are no instant repair kits, there are no hitpoints etc etc. The old style arty was disgusting and only served to ruin the game for a few poor sods by some donkey with one hand in his pants while providing hardly any real value to the team.

Ruining the game.... Please.... Look at every battle... Someone has to die in a battle, and there are always those who whine and cry about being among the ones who die....    Getting hit by arty is random... Of course there are arty players who go after the light armoured vehicles...  But there should be some kind of threat to the top tier heavies as well.
