Welcome guys ,

Im currently sitting very high at ranked battles but I have to raise it.

Since around one week I started noticing the strange thing happning. At the moment when you are spotted ( of course experienced player knows when he mightbe spotted ) some of opponent turets  does 180 degres turn and insta shot. Considering its often 400 m the reaction time of normal human is not possible this way while he is fightning with others .

Is it something new going on ? Of course I'm far away from blaming anyone for anything but it happens last days too frequently.

And the question is as well : if we have ranked battles - mode designed to be competitive why there is no any anty cheat implemented yet? I'm person who uses xvm only and why I have to compete with horde of cheaters ?

Reaction time of human being is faster than the game can keep up. As in you can easily aim at someone before the turret comes around.

So, it happened once to you but you're saying it's all over the place?

It might be a turret lock glitch? I have experienced it once while attacking anemy t-10 frontally, while his turret was looking to left. Then bang, and I was hit by him, and his barrel was suddenly facing me. I do not have a replay, and I am not complaining. Sh*t happens.

In 23k battles I met a guy I was pretty sure was aimbotting (constant snapshots in fv215b cupola with a kv4, he was below me, we were both moving, 100% hits) ONCE. Also, not skill, he was a 46%er

Yet you are sure there are hordes of them. With no replays of course.

Hey,

I'm currently at work so don't have replays but I will be playing rankeds today again.

Let me explain you more detailed :

The guy in Skoda faces another tank they are one on one and Im in let say Batchat going around hill to help and sell Skoda clip in [edited].

I see he is fully concentrated on another tank and the moment Im spotted ( not even warning yet but of course I know Im spotted ) his turrent instalty turns. Like this guy wants to fight tank who is closer but it auto point you gun when you can shot.

Im sure it will happen today again. But still question is how rankeds games are not safe t play against cheatters .

If so, design has failed.

No, you can't really tell if someone is using an aimbot or not.

I've had people ammorack me three times in a row, I've done the same to others. I've unloaded entire clips of ammo in E5 cupolas, penetrating each shot.

Hell, depending on the variables (tank height, tank turret height etc.) sometimes even auto-aim can lock into ammorack. Combine that with a fast firing tank and you get "aimbot" accusations from the receiving end.

In ranked you generally play against better players. They react fast. Case closed.

Sometimes we hit all these "pixel" shots and others bullets fly outside aiming circle at 200m and a stationary target...

Luck and game design in the vast majority of cases.

Even replays are extremely unlikely to prove anything. But it's nice of the OP to accuse people without proof like so many scumbags before him.

^This. It has happened multiple times for me aswell since last update. Basically you look in one direction, the gun aim is also looking in that direction, but for some reason your turret is rotating in the oposite direction for a short while, and then instantly jumps back to its actual rotation. Propably some kind of bug.

@OP: It's very difficult to say without a replay. If you see it again, please upload the replay so we can take a look :)

Yes, that's why you want people to show how they ended up with their claims.

I don't really... I want people to stop randomly accusing people of cheating for a misjudged reload, a lucky shot, some server glitch, just generally outplaying them, a lucky ammorack etc.

OP is correct and, of course, many say he's wrong because he's got no factual evidence.

In fact, there is one, but it requires to install a cheat mod showing a visual line between the enemy canon and your tank. Last I saw that mod in action was quite a long time ago, it looked like awful laser beams, not sure if it's still around but it existed for sure.

With that mod, you can tell the difference between a genuine fast aimer and an aimbotter: the real player will move his aiming incrementally while the aimbot will switch from one position to another skipping all surface in between.

It's quite funny actually, because you can see very precise points on your tank 'painted' by the laser beam, and only those points, like if the beam was attracted by magnets and couldn't go anywhere else.

It's not the only cheat mod widely used in ranked though, there are others.

Here is one: the reload timers mod.

Yesterday I was playing a type 5 on westfield and I was stuck under the depression where heavies usually fight and where sweedish heavies dominate.

The 5 has a long reload and just in front of me I had 2 tanks, sitting just in front of my gun on the ridge.

At the exact same moment, which was each time less than half a second before I had reloaded, they were pulling back.

With fast reload tanks, a good player can know when to show and when to hide, but with 16 seconds reload, it's humanly impossible to pull back several times a few tens of a second before the reload is complete.

And two tanks doing it at the same time without the ability to be platooned clearly showed they were using an illegal mod.

And why would players not use cheats, to be honest?

It's the very essence of competition, I'm involved in motor racing and the cheating even in 'gentlemen' categories is unbelievable.

WG can't ban cheat mod users because they'd have to ban a very large chunk of their playerbase, that's why it's still around, believe what you want :)

It happens pretty often in randoms too. But no idea if it is manifesting because of some delay (I play between 100ms and 300ms). I know that starting from tier 6 is common to get snapshot in your tracks or modules exposing even if you are going at full speed behind a ridge with some cover before sixth sense turns on on distances over 300 meters.

Probably the skill of shooting has improved across the board, I really suck at hitting such shots even if I am preaiming, not speaking of autoaiming like these guys (I find it harder to autoaim at distance than to aim normally).

So if red players can achieve this it is no surprise that experts in ranked can do it. :honoring:
