A quick question,

I've noticed over the last few weeks that with this new MM it is quite easy to trick the MM into getting 2 platoons from the same clan into the same match.

Please no one shout 'replay' or didn't happen etc...

I play on 2 different PC/laptops and finding stuff like that would be time consuming anyhow.

I've noticed the same clan 4 or 5 times doing this, either picking the same class of vehicles (i.e. mediums - and all being on opposite sides) and suspiciously one of the toons seems to kill all the other mediums (Personal mission abuse anyone?)

or

The platoons contain 2 different classes and all 6 tanks end up on the one side.... and that side in a 'random' match steam rollers the opposition.

My question is - surely this is a loophole/bug/exploit that needs WG to fix it?

If you see them rigging missions or doing something similar, send the replay to the support to get then banned.
Apart from that, I don't see anything worth fixing.

That was done already in 2011. Although there wasn't any missions...

Our Clan does this often, there's no rigging involved, we all pick the same type of tank at the same tier without being in platoons, we all press battle at the same time and if we get in a game with our clan mates we platoon up, but not before.  Even better if they're clan members on the other side, they go to the top of the target list - for bragging rights on TS.  Really just a bit of fun and a great way to get the clan camaraderie up.

There is.

But as long as it doesn't get used to rig missions, stats or similar and as long as you don't see that every day, I don't really see the problem.

People complain about this but it is a non issue.  Too infrequent an occurrence to be bothered about.

Jigabachi, you have no evidence that our clan does it to rig and you should really retract that statement.  Others maybe, but not ours.

We start at t3 or 4 and scale up and down each game, you have no control over whether you even see 1 other player from your clan let alone enough to rig/influence a result - TBH it probably works the other way with us trying so hard to kill our clanmates on the other team that we do some of the most stupid things, just to get that clanmate kill.

Oh, I think I just got that statement wrong. I thought that with rigging you referred to the process of rigging the MM to end up in the same match, not rigging missions or something.

-MM has collectively solved this issue by not playing the game, so you won't be meeting any more multi-platoons.

Surely something which happens so infrequently it occurs once every blue moon requires immediate attention, and fixing.

I have been in several clans since 2011, and all the clans I have been in will have had an evening whereby there is a count in on TS to try and get all members into the same match.

I have never ever once since 2011 been in a clan that did it to rig a mission.

But as Lomion_EU above says the biggest bragging right is (a) to kill a fellow clan member, and (b) to beat the otherside in the process.

The count in games tend to really put you on your mettle, because the intensity of trying to kill and beat your own clanmates is far more extreme than doing it to strangers.

So techincally the count in is a loophole, but not a bug/exploit and does not need fixing at all.

But if you see clans doing it to obviously help members with missions aka the notorious T22SR then they should be reported.

It's been done for ages. It's not 100% thing either. As in it will work every time to be called "an exploit" as such. They use Team Speak etc to count so they all press battle at the same time. And it might work 2 out 10 times. But the later it is, the easier it is. As after 1 AM on EU 2, it will work way more often then if you do it a 6 PM.
