Recently I did a research about all tier IX light tanks and their view range. I found out that AMX 13 90 has the lowest of them all, only 436m, which is absurd. That is not even 445m. And as you may already know if your view range is higher than 445m, it can decrease  the concleanment of any other tank. T49 and RU-251 have the highest view range of 470m from all the tier IX's. And AMX 13 90 has the lowest. What I did is I added every single IX light tank to a comparison. AMX 13 90 has the 2nd worst Firepower, the 2nd worst Mobility and THE WORST view range of 436m from all IX tier light tanks. Atleast they gave us the best Concleanment, thank you on that... Also it has only 1200 HP which is just sad, a tier higher you only get 200+ HP more, making it only 1400 HP (I am talking about AMX 13 105 here). Plus 64km/h top speed is... ehh... BAD. I really hope WG will give this vehicle atleast a slightliest buff of it's mobility and the view range.

Please consider the fact that all of this was my own opinion.

You are only comparing tanks in your garage and 1)  since you don't have (full) spotting skills on your 13 90 crew yet and 2)  we can't see the crews of your other lights this is a rather useless comparison.

But as you can see in your comparison it has by far the best camo value, so despite the worst "base" view range I prefer (passive) spotting in the 1390 over any of the other Tier iX lights.

I do have a spotting skill for commander: Recon, you clearly can see it. All of the light tanks i compared had the same equipment, crew, skills, consumables.

390 View range on a light tank tier 9.

VK 100.01P has 400 , t32 has 400 and they are both HEAVY TANKS TIER 8 , does this means something to you?

Agreed, missed that. But since it has the best camo value its still the best passive scout imho ...

edit: and why didnt you train camo as first crew skill?

*380 according to tanks.gg.  And what are the camo vaules for the tier 8 heavies? Does that mean something to you?

Got a question: You pick a VK100 and I pick my 1390, lets drive towards each other on an open field, who do you think gets spotted first?

Spoiler

Ofc. And I can respect that.

But numbers say one thing. And style says something else. And for my style and my 13 90. It's the best scout on tier 9, and the best bully light at tier 9. My 13 90 has 445m view range exactly with a 4 skilled crew and optics. Sure my T49 with it's 4 skilled crew and optics have 491m. But it's still not a better scout then the 13 90.. IMO. Sure it has the lowest top speed and the lowest power to weight of all my tier 9 lights. But that way bigger concealment makes it so that he can stay put for longer. Get closer and spot, and move about with ease vs the rest. And for my style it makes all the difference.

T49 is the best in your face light after the changes. As that 90mm gives it almost 3K DPM. So you can take on any of the other tier 9 lights with ease, as it has almost 1K more DPM then the 13 90.

T-54 ltwt is the best all rounder tier 9 LT. RU is the best support LT with the mobility, Gun depression and dpm. Or even HE pen.

WZ-132A on the other hand... can't spot, can't support, and can't fight vs other tier 9 lights unless he gets the first shot in.

Do you honestly believe that view range is the only relevant stat for a spotter?

Amx 13 90 is a super nice fun tank now, at least for me. I like it more now than before when in was a t8 light.

No camo skill on 13 90 ... Your "armor", is to remain unseen and be sneaky, chances are that if you are tracked and don't repair immediately with consumables, you will die.

I also had my worries about the vision range, but it's fine, even with a 4th skill crew on it (BiA, 6th sense, Camo, 50% sit awareness) and Optics and Vents, you'll get like 443-444... The more important here are the camo values... Be sneaky, and use that almost 1k clip... Its awesome now, way better than the old gun.

WG did a number on a lot of scouts, they are too afraid of good players raping all other players with good play in a scout.

Now they want you to use premium food to boost it up to a normal standard..
