I am not trying to persuade anyone of anything here as the answer you give is down to personal experience. But its my belief that many many things have happened since the start of 2016 that have been detrimental to the game. I can honestly say that I enjoyed it more back in 2015 than I do now for me its mainly a matter of tank balance, meta and maps.

I think that the voting out of maps has caused a shift towards maps that fit the game play style of the most popular often OP tanks and that as a result this balance issue has been made worse. I think that some of the HD changes to the British tanks have killed their competitiveness and WG has done nothing to address this. I think that there has been a disturbing trend of introducing OP T8 premium tanks into the game and this has resulted in huge balance issues at T7 and T8.

However those are my reasons, you may all disagree or agree for different reasons. All I know is that I would honestly roll the game back to January 2015 and have more fun given the chance.

I agree the game seems to have been going downhill in more than one aspect, but looking back with nostalgia glasses blinds us to the fact we've never had a shortage of things to [edited]and moan about.

Remember when our biggest problems were the IS-3 and IS-6?

I miss those days.

It wasn't 2016 when it started to go wrong, it was long before that

and i can't vote as i stopped in 2015 because the maps and dispersion were so sh*t

Well so far the majority of people would take the 2015 game over the current one...that is pretty damming WG given how much work you must have put into the last couple of years.

WG keeps screwing over the game more with every new patch. WG is full of morons and mentally challenged people.

I think wot was pretty damn fine in 2015 BUT compared to now it didnt change a lot.. problems are gone and new ones came so its just taking and giving

for example arty oneshots ( at least in high tiers) are gone but instead we have the stun and 500 meters splash

new matchmaking but it still screws up some tiers like tier 8 AND it makes tanks that are too strong right now even stronger

we have plenty of new tech trees but also new premiums which arent exactly balanced and with those keeping the balancing isnt all that easy

so as you can see it was crapand is crapbut despite all that we all are still playing

Yes but sometimes i wonder if i am playing because I still find it fun or because its a habit. I quit for 5 months recently and came back thinking somethings might have been fixed only to see more OP tank releases with no effort to address some clearly under performing vehicles. Its like they dont care about anything but the latest shiny new branches and so they dont even try to fix the older tanks that no one plays anymore. Ask yourself how many tanks are there in this game that you just never see played? But also how often do you get a game at T8 without a scorpion or a IS3? Or at T10 without a BC-25t how long can this go on, its getting dull. Power creep is pandemic and tanks that used to be unique and fun like the Black Prince are so rare that you may as well not have them available for purchase.

For me biggest turning point changing WoT to worse game was introduction of gold ammo for credits. Nothing later was same, game changed slowly into current heavy P2W state.

Now we got 2017 and WG is trying put maximum pressure to get premium account and insanely OP premium tanks like never before. Greed is real.

I'm actually having a bit of fun in crossout. It's not tanks, but building your own vehicle with hardpoints is pretty fun.
