That blue snail at the top is a tad unsettling, but I already had that game on the radar when it was in early beta. Looks fun and all, but somehow I'm not really convinced yet. As soon as they add more complex customisation (mostly rotating joints with dedicated controls), I might try it out.

I still prefer getting scammed by WG than paying full price of an AAA game for 8 hours of "entertaining" single player campaign and then being stuck with useless multiplayer

Stop riding the hype train, as long as you do, publishers will ride you.

>Found no cursing, no negativity on the forum

>Seems like YOU build your vehicle

>No whining and moaning

>Game looks more or less good

>It's still PvP and has PvE

...

...

Why not?

I don't remember... does it have a spottingsystem? I'd like to steer clear of things like that in the future...

And I'd like to mention one important thing: I remember to be the maps quite big and diverse. Which is one MAJOR problem in this game here.

You'll find the reason why the forum has no negativity despite Steam reviews and other places having it...is moderation. And Gaijin already has reputation for aggressively defending fanbase.

Just like WT it is a grindfest unless you keep whinging your credit card at the game.

It kinda has a spotting system but vehicles are always spotted and you have to get in a certain distance in order for the vehicle to be highlighted. This distance can be boosted by mounting radars.

I started playing it a little bit some weeks ago. Its pretty fun, bit I can only play it for 15 minutes at a time before I get bored.

The economy is also very different. You can grind things, then sell them on the market for the premium currency.

It's also the name of the company behind WT and this game.

There are loads of games that offer more than 8 hours single player game play.

Steam summer sale. Just picked up Combat Mission : Road to Caen. Played 8 hours straight.   Multiplayer is a blast.  Game wasnt even on my radar as haven't played any of the CC games since 97. Basic. But game play is just totally nostalgic.

Steal Division. Awesome game.  Sitting in the wings waiting for some time.

Rising Storm 2.  Played 89 hours over the last two weeks. Totally unforgiving. Love the era. And im crap at it.  But love it.

All three keeping me from playing WOT.  I keep lurking around these forums trying to decide what to do. But its the same whines over and over again.   Just wish I wasn't burned out from playing tanks.

Loads of time sinks out there.  Just got to look.

I played all the CC series from II-V extensively but passed on the lastess versions as I kinda objected to paying full price for a game that was basically the same as when originally released but still full price. They're fun games though and do a good job of combining a more action orientated approach with a "proper" wargame.

Steel Divisions is on my list to buy when it's at a decent price. I've got enough games to play at the moment so it seems silly to pay the full price only to have it sit in my Steam library. It's rather nice to see wargames that have been given the triple AAA resources but aren't influenced by but Company of Heroes sold loads mentality.

I bought Steel Div 44 for a £22 pre-release due to my love of the other Eugene games, War game Air land Battle, I played for months. As for the CC games... I picked it up for £14 on a punt. been a great punt so far... playing as the Brits is a challenge.  But I completely agree with you on its pricing. totally out of whack for a technology 20 years old.  I'd love to pick up (digital version of Bridge too Far if was a decent price)

I have played a demo version of a couple of the Eugene games and although I liked the Wargame, can't remember exactly which version, one it didn't grab me straight away but it did say this is the type of game I would like I just need to spend a bit of time to get into t. It's just one of the games, well seems like it to me, that you need to put some effort in up front to understand how to play it before you really enjoy it,

For the new CC versions I was expecting them to be around the £10 or so mark as I'd really put them as enhanced editions. Currently they come in at £32.99 which I put in the you've got to be kidding me catergory.
