If people would have "left the game as it is", we would still have three nations, memory leak issues, graphics from 2002, premium ammo with gold only and maps like Severogorsk - to name a few.

I have played this game three times as long as you. And let me be honest: In the long run, WG's herd sheep like you will ruin the game (what there is left of).

actually, the second iteration of severogorsk was not so bad imo.

but then, I found "Dragon Ridge" a good map too.

I kinda like the idea,

one should not be able to select a vehicle one has in garage tho.

Type 5 Heavy and Maus would sit in queue forever since no-one wants them

This, every "flavour" of the month tank would sit in the queue forever which frustrates those players that free-XP'ed them. This in turn beats the purpose of why Wargaming deliberately made this tank overpowered to get some more cash going.

The Lago is a very fearsome tier 7 tank.

And at lower tiers everybody would vote for avoiding the ELC, leaving ELC players to sit in an unending queue. And if the ELC player (I note the OP enjoys his) has paid for his tank with blood, sweat, tears, and money, what gives others the right to 'ban' him from the game for playing a normal tech tree tank, even if only an extended/indefinite queue time? Tier III it would be the Pz.Ic that gets the chop by being on 'the list' of many players, so maybe the Pz.Ic player should get some compensation for doing the grind and then not being able to play it as often as everybody else? It's a farcical idea.

MM can cheat... ...no it can not. Cheating is

1. Against the game rules

2. Unmoral

3. Bad business idea...

Hey, wait...!

I like this suggestion actually.  That way, Wargaming can have a look at what tanks are the biggest offenders for people and nerf them (though I bet that many Tier VIII premiums will be on the block).

It provides useful statistics.

Or even the weakened counterpart of this suggestion: an ingame poll of which tanks you deem too strong / too weak.

But I do also agree with the comment that you can not play the tank you do not want to meet yourself, because if you could that is quite disgusting.

While I can see some use for WG understanding how players feel about tanks, to be able to exclude a certain tank from battle because you don't like it is wrong. It does not provide any meaningful stats to WG other than player do not like this tank to that tank. Logically, a player is going to exclude a tank that he cannot find a way to beat. This does not mean there is anything wrong with the tank, it does not mean it is OP, it just means that that particular player had problems facing that particular tank.

Lets say 3 players are going into battle. Player A always has problems facing the Defender, Player B has problems with the T39, and Player C has problems with the Chrysler. The each vote to exclude their choice of tank. What has that told WG? *

Additionally, that has just excluded 3 tanks and who knows how many players from the next battle, making MM take longer to compose a team for those players.

Now, if you have 30 players in the queue, and they each have picked a tank, chances are there could be 6 or 7 different tanks being excluded, so more and more players are being excluded from the battle queue and everyone is having to wait longer for a game. And why? Because someone gave players the chance to avoid tanks they are scared of facing.

*Oh! I forgot Player D. Player D is an arty hater, so every battle he goes into he will pick an arty to exclude, making any stats the WG could extract even more meaningless.

I still wonder why so many people dont understand what random means...its not supposed to be buffet where you pick whatever you want. Take it or leave it.

Can't see this working. As has been pointed out some OP tanks will never get out of the garage. Exclude a map and you will rarely see certain tank types on maps they are unsuitable for. 10 HTs or 10 TDs a side? Not really working as intended (even if the game can be dysfunctional as is).

Nice idea but will never happen. WGs business model is increasingly based on the over-buffing of tanks, which everyone then wants. If you know you can't get into a game in your Type 5, then you won't grind it. And by "grind" I mean, in the case of many players, spend real money to get there sooner. Type 5 is a good example, because in most cases you have to press 2 to defeat it. Which is perfect from WG's point of view. The company will never sanction anything that will lose it cash.

Tier 5 - T67

Tier 6 - O-I

Tier 7 - E25

Tier 8 - Emil I

Tier 9 - Emil II or AMX 13 90

Tier 10 - Bat-Chat 25t or Kranvagn

Personally, I'd pay real money to not have to deal with high-tier derps and autotarders.

If you post that enough, one day someone, somewhere will find it mildly amusing. Go for it.

In my case what tank I don't want to face depends upon what tank I am playing... for example at T5 in a Sherman III I might say T67 is the tank I don't want to face - but in an leFH a T67's is often a one-shot kill, so I like facing them....
