Hy, my dear fellows. I'm an old player, full of patience and good will. But dayly i am agressed by young players, aged under 10-12 years ( i heard their voices on chat), kids interested in fun and distructive way of playing, not in team play, Those kids are very toxic for this game, and i think the solution for my trouble is to offer to players the posibillity to play in teams made by actual mm , wich is pretty good, with optin of age select. I know that's a dream , but wot resolve toxic chat, eliminating chat between teams, and that's a gorgeous improvement in game play.  If WOT team try harder they will find a solution.  Don't take that as an offence to the honest kids players, thei are great.

And, pray tell, what does "an old player" mean in this case? The most common dis heard -- in addition to "noob" -- is "kid". And I highly doubt the ones repeating that have seen too many winters themselves.

Better to rank people according to their skills, and not age. Even if that would be possible.

That's indeed the most shocking thing in this post.

This topic in fun on more than one level.

It's also funny how some people use "kid" as a negative word to describe a certain type of bad behavior. It's like they don't realize that bad behavior doesn't have a certain age limit. And often the people who tells other people to "grow up" are annoying boring one who are stuck int heir ways and can't just see that pretty often maturity actually rarely has to do with age.

Never seen more toxic behaviour than people just getting used to adult responsibilities while still trying to kling to some kind of pro playing and blaming their failures on everything else except themselves.

Kids? Kids take on their elders I guess.

Noobs? We all start the game as noobs.

the way you write here, id be inclined to say the opposite and that you are one of those, young "Kids" you speak of..

use the proper term of "children" if you want to be taken seriously.. kids is such a poor choice of word when trying to make yourself seem smarter and older than you most likely are... typical child's type work right here

some people also have very childish voices, and even can be aged 18+ with such a voice.. the quality of their microphones + your speaker quality would also dictate what they sound like, so how you can base how old they are on that I will never know

you are also very toxic for this game.. because that's the way I read your post, aggressive towards those that are (apparently) younger than you.... age doesn't equate toxicity, nor does it equate to a good mentality

and, by the way OP:

To the OP. Dude removing the all chat was a dumb idea it was fun seeing how people couldnt handle the fakt that they arent good. Second i dont think kids are your problem. I have seen people 20+ doing way more toxic crapthan kids.

My kids are not allowed to play WoT. Too many toxic adults.

Especially those players that claim to be old.

no that chat was pathetic

I don't want to see some idiot crying because I apparently hacked to kill them, when in reality, I used the landscape to my advantage so my tank with no gun depression doesn't have to brawl on hills....

yes, getting told "get cancer" "go die in front of a bus retard" "go kill yourself irl MORON" was such a dignified and intelligent conversation....

battle chats there for talking about the battle and tactics, not what you had for dinner while watching game of thrones the night before with the enemy team

shouldn't have even been possible in the first place to talk with the enemy.. had no bearing or usability when your primary goal is to shoot them, not make love to them

Hi there OP!

Being an "older player", (I'm 43 btw, so no spring poultry either) I find it rather surprising;

  1. Why in the hell you would let anyone online affect you in this way, especially the wilder lacking-in-wisdom younger generation
  2. Why you think this behavior is confined to them, because that's not the case
  3. Why you think, realistically, that a non hostile environment in the context of an online massively multiplayer pvp game is possible and.......
  4. Why you thought it was a good idea to post about it here.

The sentiment at the start is nice, the idea... ..not so much - how long did you think it through?

MM based on age is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this forum. Which world do you live in that you really think that age makes a difference?

The average age in this game is 30+, so most of those "kids" are older than you might think. They maybe have kids already, which is scary...

Besides that, one does not simply use the ingame voice chat. I mean... why? Why would you ever do that?

Average age on EU is 32 years old. Heck there was a topic here last year on how old people were. Most on this forum did reply they were over 35. Most were past 40. So kids is not as "common" as you think they are.

Then again if MM was decided by age, vs skill. Then I can guarantee you you won't notice much of a difference. Then again considering that most "kids" are more competent using a PC then a 40 year old is. Then they can easily "claim" they are 30 year old if the game ask. Just like we said we were 18 to the game when we played Leisure Suit Larry back in 1988. Tho he replied "yeah right" in return. Something I suspect WOT won't do.

In order to use voice chat you have to be in platoon or in a team based battle.  So why are you joining platoons or teams with people who are aggressive to you?
