I would like ask WG to implement the light showing whether is the "friend" player in game or in garage to the clan chat window too. We can see that light turning green or orange in the "friends list" so I wonder can it be added to a clan chat window.

Sometimes we try to catch our clan-mates or friends and the only way to see is to open and search them in the friends list. It would be nice to have that small light enabled in the chat screen that is kept always open.

"Extending" the same matter, I think another thing could be useful - having a way to set "AFK" status in the clan chat also. Sometimes we all leave the game for couple of minutes or longer without closing the client or disconnecting, so manually setting a small AFK status light would be nice.

What do you think? Cheers.

Moar ways to stalk on people? No thanks. XVM is bad enough.

Did you bother reading the suggestion before jerking out your reaction? It's quite clear that it'd only apply for people in your friends list; if you're in the habit of accepting friend requests from people you think are stalking you, there's probably a fairly easy step that you could take to resolve that.

But how can your friends be in the same chat window as your clan?

Certainly agree with having the AFK status as I tend to login once and then leave it logged in until I turn the computer off. Maybe even have an up for platoons status?

Well, the majority in my "friends list" are the players from the both Dinger clans, and I mostly toon with them. For the non-clan friends they remain where they are (in the friends list).

Having in mind that Dingers have a shared chat/clan channel (WJDE & T-D-U) having 30-40 players online in that one window is not a rare occasion.

Such a simple thing showing there who is in-game would make thing mach faster, simpler and more easy to look at than opening the friend list every time and search trough it.

I imagine a small "light" by the nick changing colors - green for "in garage", orange "in game" (those we can see in the friends list already) and yellow for AFK.

Being AFK would require a player interaction for setting and re-setting the status. That would ofc require adding a place for a button - and that could be anywhere really. If AFK is too much of a work (which I really doubt) I would be satisfied with the garage/game thing to start with.

same here. Sometime I'm AFK for hours. Good suggestion with platoon availability.

All this depends on how good your clan's officers are. If they're not dickheads then it's fine but if they're like the officers I met in CMERC who move you into different TS channels while your talking to friends or platooning then I can see a way for garbage DCs to abuse the system. So I voted no.

As a former DC myself I do however see the benefit of such a feature when it comes to tracking clan member activity/responsiveness. DC's however have most people on their friendslist anyway so what's the point?

I think they could do that by looking in the friends list already, so nothing is more revealed than it was before. I cant see your argument valid, but its ok, its your right to vote as you want.

As for the AFK status, you don’t have to use it.

We are speaking about the ability to see your status also visible in the clan chat window.

Anyways, as said, everything is available already.

And transferring payers in TS has nothing to do with the subject imho.

The point is that the "friend list" is a search form that is flooded with the information that is arranged awkwardly and it can’t be kept open, relocated, or resized like the clan chat window is.

I would like to have friends highlighted on battle roster, so wouldn't have to read every single nick every time battle begins.. Don't know if there's a mod to do that..
