The way chevrons are gained (max 1 chevron per game) induces passive play in my opinion.
I would like good plays to be rewarded more (gain more than 1 chevron) and bad plays punished harder (lose more than 1)

For example:

- Every player in wining team gets a chevron ( to encourage wining rather than passively farm dmg/kills to become top 3 in losing team)
- Top 10 players in winning team 2 chevrons
- Top 5 players 3 chevrons
- No. 1 player 4 chevrons
- 1 additional chevron for top dmg/kills/assist etc.

- Losing team 1 chevron for top 3
- Rest of the team lose 1 chevron
- Bottom 5 lose 2 chevrons
- 1 additional chevron for top dmg/kills/assist etc.

This way people are encouraged to play at their very best. Of course the total amount of chevrons needed to gain ranks should be balanced around this system. But overall it should account for a smoother experience.

The numbers are a bit rough I admit but I find it [edited]that a guy who does 4k dmg and 3 kills in a win get's the same rewards as let's say a guy with 1.5k dmg and nothing else.

The current system has a netgain per battle of 3 chevrons (Discounting draws) Yours will have a netgain of 23?! per battle. Your nubmers are not "a little rough"! They are wacked in such spectacular fashion that they completely invalidate your entire idea.

Hmm I guess you are right!
I think the main problem with the current system is that you get either too little reward (In case of a very good win) or way to much ( 8-12 on winning team and maybe top 3 of the losing team).

A best case scenario would probably to get rid of the entire chevron system?

Or the system I described above but with harsher penalties to the losing team (1-3 none, 4-6 lose 1, 7-12 lose 2, 13-15 lose 3?

With the possibilty to reduce your chevrons lost by being top dmg/kills/assist.

Maybe even lost chevron for no. 15 on the winning team?

It should just be replaced with proper ELO.

every battle whether a loss or win should give bonds to player for participation, lets be honest here 99% of people playing ranked are doing it for improved equipment
