Is it possible to turn off the automatic vertical compensation the gun makes when the crosshair is placed on a tank / terrain?
I'd rather learn to compensate manually than miss all long-range shots on a tank that's on the move (talking about tanks that move and have no terrain behind them)

No it isn't, and considering how long people have been asking for it I wouldn't hold my breath.

BalCalcMod should do the trick (or just stick to playing t10 meds with their high shell velocity). You can basically hold a buttton to zero in on the range you are currently aiming at and as long as the button is pressed your compensation will aim to hit the crosshair at that range.

Yet another thing (along with the now banned old autoaim+ or whatever it was called, the one that removed the "oh so funny" hunt the pixel game) that would be easy to implement in vanilla and would only improve the experience for people.

Haven't used it in a bit since I'm running vanilla at the moment but it should be updated and legal. Aslains modpack updtes frequently and only has allowed mods.

True.

Offtopic: your name really doesn't suit you (IE you are not incompetent, but I guess you already know it ;) ).

And Rat Scabies would always sound cooler than Capt Sensible.
