"Those who finished the training before 9.19.1 and enroll in Boot Camp merely to revise the basics, get to brush up their knowledge and step up their game."

So those of us who did the one before get nothing?

My question here is, will all the other "newbie" content get reworked?
Basically, what I want to know is, will you finally fix "Proving Ground" fatal error which causes lower tier vehicles ace class requirement to go as high as impossible?
Checking WoT replays, there is barely 1-2 ace class matches on tier 1 tanks per patch, and there has been a single ace on tier 2 Tetrarch in last year or so.

Proving ground is played by "newbies" and rerolls, who don't get an ace, but do get the experience requirements for an ace way too high, so nobody gets an ace in the end.

The requirements for ace tankers are set by the players, the better the players do the higher the requirements get.

Ok, now please try reading and understanding what I wrote above.
If you read more careful than you did first time, you'll realize I do understand that ace class badge is rewarded to a player who earns more experience in one battle with a tank than 99% of other players during last 7 days.
That being said, we come to a problem, where highest experience earned by a certain player is being counted all together with the proving ground, which is a nonsense, but definitely is a case. It makes vehicles of tiers 1 and 2 impossible to ace.
An example, Guy 1 plays a battle in the proving ground, kills 15 bots and earns 1500 base experience. He does not earn an ace class badge, because he played a proving ground match. Guy 2 destroys 12 regular players in a random match with his T1 Cunningham, but, he doesn't obtain an ace class badge either, because Guy 1 made more experience in one match than he did.
Understandable?

Good news for the new player!

I hope that at the end of the "tutorial" you don't advertise them to buy a premium tier 8 at 15% saying they're now ready to get one?

i'm affraid that even this "mode" will not help to much people to learn the game...  if this game was under my development i wouldn't let the "noobs" to participate in live battles without reaching an amount of wn8 by playing well or finishing some kind of missions or something else special created for them, because battles in WoT are a fkin madhouse... Seriosly. You don't reach that amount of wn8 by playing well, your place is not in standard battles.

Tutorials do very little, they dont teach strategy, maps, different types of tanks' playstyle. What the game needs is a mentoring system. One that is beneficial for both players.

I have seen this being played and it does look very well done on teaching those the very basics of the game where as those advanced things a kept aside for those who want to get better would have to look in to things themselves.

What i also think would be good is when this goes live, force everyone to actually play it as a little refresher of things wont hurt, i know i definitely be giving it a play through on my account :)

After trying it on the test server its really good.

After reading the above comments about how the proving ground mode makes it near impossible to ace tier 1s this is true, I have had some pretty big games trying to ace tier 1 and 2 and it is extremely difficult if not impossible.

For higher tiers it is much easier.

1000 damage in a tier 1 and you get a 2 class, its a joke.

Also remove all artillery, stop teaching players to sit in a corner and click. The decent players get sick of it, leave the game and do other things, your player base has become saturated with players who play ultra defensively with no cojones! This is because artillery teaches this kind of play.

If you want most people that play this to be like that and annoy all the others trying to use skill, it will turn into a game that has no skilled players. Skilled players will have no desire to play World of Tanks because of the amount of unskilled players that make up the rest of the team that you rely on.

If everyone camps by the base or in the corner of the map, its just not worth the time to play it. If players dont respond to command actions or respond with ignorance, its a waste of time.

Boot camp should go some way to help new players learn how to get the most out of the game.

Think about it, if you had artillery in boot camp there would not be more than one mission.

Remove the non skill element and you will see skilled players returning, you will see World of Tanks popularity grow again and it could be the game its potential says it can be.

As long as artillery remains in the game your entire boat has a sinkhole and its going down fast.

Great thing that the training grounds is getting updated to a much more thorough tutorial for the game mechanics. Still, I can't help but feel that the tutorial still needs to address the different playstyles of different tank classes, and some basic map strategy like avoiding crossing wide open areas without cover and such.

Also, kinda disappointed that those who have done the previous "training program" don't get any of the new rewards, which are way better than the ones offered before. The 100% crew with free Sixth Sense is a huge bonus, and the gold and premium time would come handy to anyone really.

Yeah. Pretty much this.

I'm on the same boat. I lost my hope regardless. WG was doing such a nice acceptable job before.

It is good to have improved a tutorial but We need a shooting range in the garage for testing tanks penetration and weakspots! :justwait:

This is what the game needs.

Millions of players have played under 1k battles and uninstalled after they have had their tank made into a flaming wreckage, and they haven't understood the basics of gameplay.

Mainly due to a lack of a TUTORIAL like this. A step in the right direction.

Now, how a about some new maps for higher and lower tier vehicles?
