Hello people, I am almost done with grinding the 30k xp on the M4 and I was wondering which of the two next tanks I should pick.

The Easy Eight, which is more mobile but has nearly no armor or the Super Jumbo which has great armor (with the stock turret) but is slower.

Jumbo is handy on certain maps where you can hull-down and just blap HE into everyone - position yourself well and you can be really hard to dig out. On other maps without such cover the Easy 8 can be good for keeping up with the medium push and generally running around shooting up everything. I have both and personally prefer the E8 because I prefer a mobile playstyle - but in some games I find myself wishing for that E4 and it's better turret armour.

Both suffer when in bottom-tier matches - the Jumbo can still make itself a nuisance however to any target (Jap heavies for example) whereas the Easy 8 is utterly stuffed unless you can go for a flank/rear shot.

this

E2 is slightly less med like, but you get to a little more of a thorn when bottom tier using the armour of the turret

E8 is more med like, flanker, but you'll suffer in T8 matches, where your just going to have to snipe and stay out of range to be useful

out of the 2 OP, id go with the E2

Super-Jumbo all the way.

Yes it's SO slow it gets overtaken by stationary objects, but  the gun is great.

Also, from a practical point of view, the Super-Jumbo opens up two lines of advance on the Tech Tree - the EZ8 only one.

Depends where you're planing on going to as well. If you want to carry up the med line id go for the E8 as the play style helps with the T7 T20. If you want to do the heavy line however don't do the medium line! M6 at T6 unlocks the 90mm which without it the T29 will be seriously painful! Also the 90mm carries over to the T20 on medium line so will make both T7 grinds easier.

Jumbo with stock turret and 105mm derp. One of the most enjoyable "grinds" I have ever had :D

Both are worth to play, if not keep, in my book.

Easy 8 was kind of powercrept two or three years ago, but the most recent buff did make the mantlet 178mm thick. Just don't expect optimal results firing only AP (which something like the Cromwell can get away with).

Jumbo works in mysterious ways, and has some real staying power if you find a good position. Stock turret is key, though the mantlet on the top turret is kinda decent after the last buff. There aren't enough around to teach people that shooting a Jumbo in the turret is (mostly) a waste of time, so taking the top turret won't work (though it did get the same buff as the E8 on the top turret).

Personally I much prefer the E8, but it will come down to a matter of preferance. The other guys have nicely outlined the merits of both machines.

Both excell in their attributes. I finally sold the E2 cuz too slow, got bored after almost +4700 battles. Both are legendary tanks if you know how to play them.

I kept the E8.

My stats on these 2 thanks can give you an idea of what these 2 monsters can do when played right.

This. Ditto for me :)

E8 is overhyped anyway.

Easy8 most enjoyable for me.

But as you can see from the above, both decent, and something of a personal preference for most players as to which they enjoy most.
