I am pointing to those alarm effects when you get hit.

Is really annoying to hear the alert, like the metal crying sound would not be enough.

Or some mod to have decent sound effects. :girl:

XVM can change quite a lot of the sound effects.

How? I have it installed but I do not remember how to modify the file (And I got lazy to do it).

Or eventually even some configuration that removes that. :)

There just might be a way. It's a bit elaborate, though.

1 Buy second computer.

2 Install DAW music creation software. E.g Cubase.

3 Purchase (or rent) multi-band parametric EQ plugin.

4. Connect sound output from computer 1 to computer 2 input

5. Activate real-time audio monitoring in DAW, and divert audio to its output.

6. The next bit is trial and error. Find out which frequencies the annoying sounds are occupying, and then cut that band as far as it will go in your DAW. Boost the frequencies you do like, et voila!

7. (Optional). Take advantage of your new music recording knowledge, buy electric guitar, record a cover of Spandau Ballet's Gold, and send it to WG in an envelope marked "Pay 2 Win"

The damaged turret sound is just about THE most annoying (audio) thing in the entire game.

Related, but off-topic: one of the funniest is a Chinese commander going nuts over bounced shots! I have no idea of precisely what's being said but he is getting very excited.

My favourite is the Japanese commander who at the start of a battle will sometimes announce what sounds like, "Saus-age!"

Saa shutsugeki!

My favorite is still the simple Nai-shott!

(Not a joke.)

Hah - Der ging full-durch Ihre Panzerung!

OT: XVM should do the trick. Edit the sounds.xc file in Notepad or something. Don't have it installed, so that's as much as I can be bothered with. :)

I have a chinese crew in Type 59 and they are just as excited.

Those sounds are fun, that's why I don't want to disable it.

However what's the purpose of the alarm sound when hit? Is like telling you "Hey Tomato, you got shot for damage, wake up and pull back"?

I mean the suffering metal sound is loud enough. :amazed:
