I keep getting encounter games where one side caps out in less than 5 mins because so many people just sit there. I'm no unicum myself, but why doesn't WG flat out ban players like this:

Maybe it's bad luck, maybe it's because of the marathon event, but there's at least 1 bot in every single game.

Are you sure that is a bot?

Looks like the average WoT player :P

Belive me,WoT avrage player is worse then Bot's! I see so many people playing bad, that even bot would do better.

I turned off Encounter games months ago.

It's just annoying how they have to wait like 30 secs into the battle before they move. They throw all of the good positions away.

That can depend from old computers

1) The Q Ranger guy upvoted, not sure why

2) On topic: I see 5 reasons why.

But on a serious note, WG doesn't ban them because they chose to play it and are doing everything accourding with the rules (I think). People play games for entertainment, Kicking them out simply because they are not very good at it would go against that and would trigger sufficient unrest to damage WG.

I must confess this is a very poor player. Even I'm not that bad, but then again, above reasons. He or she is earning them money, you see. On their shoes, I would not remove such patrons either. He doesn't seem to be missing in idiot-proof vehicles (Churchill LL and, regardless of how much it costs me to admit it, SPGs).

EDIT: AH I see these are two different subjects. While my main point maintains, I'd like to reiterate that the one on the right is an "average" player. The other? who knows...

Disable them then like any sane person did when they put the option in there.

I enabled them recently to improve my chances of completing a cap/reset mission and they have not got any better (or worse) than they were when they first arrived.

People who are slow to join in are normally not bots, but those who are having problems with the game. It does not help to have a lesser computer or internet, but my experience is that the quality of connection is highly variable, and this seems to be a game issue, rather than a personal equipment thing. If you think it is frustrating to wait for other players, it is nothing to the frustration they experience while waiting to get on.
8.18 also seems to have introduced an element of instability into the game itself, I find it crashing (rather than loosing connection) at least occasionally.

It's usually the same for both teams though. Compare post battle team stats and there's usually 2-4 players that did no damage and only 2-4 players that actually did most the damage and kills. The rest have barely managed to get in 1-3 successful shots, all of which are crucial and contributions towards the win but my point is nearly 9-12 players on both teams of every single battle are causing less damage than they are taking and it's usually only a 2-4 players that are actually doing significant damage and winning the battle. So when one or two of these better players get taken out early it can have a massive influence on not winning since the other 13 players simply cannot and ever could, inflict enough damage and carry the battle, simples

Edit- o yes and the point lol.. having a bot or terrible player on the team is not really the losing of a battle since around 10-12 other players on the team, both teams, are hardly much better tbh

And what's the point of botting? That first account has 2 tier 8 premium heavy tanks ~10k battles and ~43% winrate. What kind of botter buys premium tanks [edited]up winrate and expect to sell account for more that price of premium tanks. What other reasons are there for botting, making credits? It's clearly obvious that this account had no human interaction (not even one good game, no highest mastery rank) or the person playing this account enjoys [edited]up every single game for his team 10000 times and don't get bored.

How does a bot have a LeFH, though? You mean to tell someone has been running a bot on account with it all this time without selling?

Nah, it's just a bormal weekend. Deep red teams on both sides at tier 7-8 all day. Not that I mind, though.

Remember that it is now summer holiday period, so a lot of " for fun " players are play now. And not to mention a lot of drunk people, not that I am one of them :teethhappy:

Anecdotally I'd say you're correct that a minority of players in a battle do most of the real work but I'd disagree with all the other players could never be in that group. It's not uncommon to find one of the top performers having below average stats as is it not uncommon to find one of the hangers on with above average stats.

This also ties in with my experience that my performance (in terms of exp.) is woefully irractic. It's kinda what you expect when you combine a game where the average player isn't that good, if that makes sense, and there are no respawns. I'm absolutely sure that a good player could point out the numerous mistakes I make every battle but the thing is I'm facing players that do exactly the same thing so sometimes I get badly punished but other times it works out.

Oddly, if you did not have XVM enabled a lot of your issues with how other people play would simply go away.

It was the main reason that I stopped using in-game stats. If I'm having a string of bad games I'd rather not know that the MM has served me up with a bunch of team mates even worse than me.
