Hello,

I was having a terrible day yesterday, I was playing really badly as I was trying to do the T34-85M missions. It was taking an embarrassing long amount of time to get yesterdays mission done.

I decided to play Arty for a game and see if I could progress any of the Reward tank missions. I took out my only high-ish tier Arty, the S51 and tried my best to get the reward tank mission done, the mission was to stun 2 tanks with a single shot, twice.

Anyway, the game was going OK, but then our team more or less just folded. We were left with 2 TD's and 3 Artys. The other team had a mix of arty, TD's and a heavy tank. I was playing pretty normal Arty, i.e. at the back and in top down, when I saw that the enemy team was pushing along the north on Airfield. At this point, the last of our TD's died and left us with 3 artys vs Heavy tank, TD and their arty. I went for broke and decided to go into their cap. Mostly thinking it would spilt their forces and if I could hide I would spot them for my own team. Long story short, they were too slow to get back to reset their cap, I was hiding like a champion, and remained un-spotted the whole game to claim my first ever Raiders medal.

I now it's not very exciting compared to some games, and I truly suck as a Arty player, but this game was just want I needed yesterday. After about an hour of me just being terrible it was good to get a weird medal, a win, complete my tank reward missions and have a bit of a nail bitter at the end.

At least you did it in an acceptable vehicle. Artys,super-heavies and anything slow with bad camo, bonus points if done in a Tog or pre-buff T95, should be the only ones allowed to get this medal, as its funny if they do manage it. Anyone driving something fast with great camo, ie scouts, E25, Obj-416 etc, who does this, with the possible exception being getting a Kolobanov's at the same time, should be beaten to death with a teaspoon.

I once had a huge row with my girl on the phone while playing my E-75 on Lakeville. Needless to say I wasn't really into the match. I ended up capping the enemy base while the last enemy tank was cornered by our last surving ally in the valley. And to my surprise I actually got the elusive Raiders medal lol.

Whenever I see the medal it remembers me about that day and I love my wife for it, one of the better rows we had which earned me a rare medal XD

Haha, the only raider medal i have was with a GW Panther on El Halluf standard match... I still don't get how no one ever spotted me that entire match.

Hi!

Got the first one with my Bert several patches ago on Malinovka: http://wotreplays.co...vka-iztok-fv304 . I didn't realize I was not spotted the whole game, despite being near front all the time. Had to cap because battle timer was running out.

Yeah I know, I was pretty embarrassed. It was just one of those days that nothing was working out. And because nothing was working right, I was trying harder, and that made me play worse, which made me try harder.... etc.

I tell you, World of Tanks is the most frustrating game when it goes like that.

When having a bad day it is better to call it quits for a while and go do something else. When you come back with a clearer mind you whole gameplay changes.

Otherwise, good job for not camping same spot in arty and actually trying to win. :)

So when was the baby due ;) Making up often results in "happy surprises"

Alas, it took many, many tries before the little sprout started knocking and kicking around announcing that he would soon arrive to enlighten our lives ‍‍‍

I did it ages ago but on low tier.

I wonder whether this is also doable beyond tier 7...

Sure I did this in a Jagdpanther a loooong time ago.  Will check when I get home.  It seems I have done it twice but I have no idea what the other tank might have been.  Will update later.

Found them via the web log in.  The Jagdpanther and the STUG III G are the two tanks I've done it in.  Mind you this would have been back in the day when TD's had much better camo.

I know I've seen on Jingles channel an IS-7 and a O-NI (of all things) do it.

You get those days, when match after match you get the High Calibre but not the kill shots.

Wow, that is a very lovely story. Lucky you :)

On topic: I got my first and only Raider with my M22 Locust and back then I used LTs as scouts only so... I suppose Cpt. Pigg will devour me.

i have only 2 of those after 80 k battles.

1 in t4 td and one in t7 arty.

i believe they are not so rare for arties compared with other classes.

but it took more than 80k to receive my first bombardier.
