I've never really cared about my stats and I always sell tanks after I finish grinding them. I've also almost never played at tier X. I've slowly started to realize that I'm not really improving in skill, I'm literally just grinding all the time (XP or credits). I've never even gotten 2 MoE on a tank because of this. So..  I've decided I want to try 3-marking a tank, which I think will increase my skill.

What's a good "first tank" to 3 mark? I only have two wishes: it needs to be somewhat fun to play, and not too popular (I'm not gonna 3-mark my Bromwell for example).

I'm open to suggestions! I haven't figured it out yet and once I've picked a tank I intend to stick with it until I get those bloody three stripes. Or stars. Or whatever. I'd prefer a premium tank but those might be too popular.

EDIT: Also tier 6 or higher is preferred. Preferably not tier X for obvious reasons. I could probably get 2 on my Leopard 1 but not 3.

EDIT 2: No Arty. And no turretless TDs.

Most players seem to think British tanks are easier to three mark as they're not as popular across the server, and can take a while to grind so percentage damage can be lower.

Why not look at the Crusader or one of the other tier V's.

I might be wrong here, but IS-6 isn´t too popular nowadays... I hardly play it any more, but it made a huge jump in MOE last time i took it out. BUT, expect to fire allot of premium rounds....

I'm seriously considering the Firefly since it is basically designed to farm damage and it has enough gold pen to get through almost anything it faces. It's also British and I almost never see one in-game.

I reckon it's too slow to be "fun"

Interesting, I have the premium Russian IS-2 which might be a good candidate. It's a good creditmaker and not very common. Most of the tanks you listed are rather popular though. I could probably 2-mark them but 3-marking a Cromwell or T29 is probably very difficult. Or maybe I'm overestimating it?

It has gun depression though, which is always fun. But it's been a while since I've played it so I might remember it incorrectly.

My first 3 marked tank was the tier 5 leopard. It looks so funny with that small gun, you can hardly notice it. :)

Not my pic, as I cannot screenshot my garage right now, but looks the same. :)

Don`t go just for tanks that are not popular, go for tanks you like to play in. My 2 cents.

Popularity is not something you should care about. Some of the most popular tanks are also some of the easiest to 3 mark.

Cromwell is easy.

Bromwell is so much harder.

T-34-85 is easy

Rudy is so much harder.

IS-2 (B) is much harder to 3 mark then IS or IS-2 (chinese).

T29 shouldnt be to hard I think. Check LordMuffin stats for rough numbers for quite a few T5-T7 3 marked tanks.

Crusader is by far my easiest 3 MOE yet "when it was a light". But... others like the Cromwell B and even the Archer have a rather high min damage/assist level for their tier tiers.

ELC is one that most seem to be easy. As it did not take many battles to get from 2 to 3.

Oh, I forgot to add, preferably no German tanks because I'm running out of Chocolate and I'd like to save it for the next Ranked Battle season lol. Unless there's a consumable sale soon.

I agree I should enjoy the tank (otherwise I won't do well in it either) but at the same time I really don't want to start off with a tank that everyone and their mother plays.

How much harder is the IS-2 B compared to the regular IS? If it's only a couple hundred extra avg damage per game then that's fine. The IS-2 B would earn me tons of credits as opposed to losing credits on tech tree tanks because I do intend to run food.

What is the % on your Tiger Ii and T29? Because you have good stats on them.

I think my 1st 3rd MoE was the T67.

Don't know. But my IS-2B has 1728 avg dmg and 521 assistance per battle.

Probably higher numbers for the games leading up to 3 marks.

Haven't 3 marked IS.

The Tiger II stats are a little old, I really don't want to play it with all the Godzillas and other blocks of steel running around nowadays. Off the top of my head my T29 percentage is around 80% I believe and those are recent stats (2017), I could go for that but with the new stun mechanic I fear that I'm really going to hate playing the sluggish hulldown T29. Hmm..

I can't 3-mark anything and only got 2 on the Chafee thanks to old games when it saw tier `0

Even 60% WR tanks can't make it past 80% on MoE.

Maybe you're not playing selfish enough?

My first was T67, second Cromwell. Now I might go for KV-1 or T37,
