This is p***ing me off for a while now, you expect certain tanks to be spotted within a certain distance, but no, they're gonna kemp bush right in front of you in their 140's/Kranvagn's/etc. You expect some tanks to use proper equipment, but it turns out to be a mistake. Fine if you're a bush loving TD, but tier 10 meds? This screws up my game plan, I can't fully trust my view range, gotta expect someone sitting with a camo net. You also notice it when you watch your team mates, you hear when the camo net kicks in.

/rant

Is it just me having this problem? Or is there anyone else who noticed this?

well if its screws you up it seems to be effective , if its effective it cant be the wrong modules ?

also its not like a jpz e100 would get stealthy just because you use a camo net

wouldnt be the 2 normal questions before pushing be :

can i outspot the enemy ?

and

can i take the beating thats waiting for me if i push now ?

Yes.

Tobe honest... not sure if trolling or serious...

Camo net and crew skills can have that effect. It's not just camo. You gotta expect it for anything regarding your "game plan". As those usually are planned with "100%" crew and no equipment in mind. Even a tank with a tad higher ROF then expected can do that when you flank it.

And yes I have camo skills on a few paper HT's... as when you are getting on the 4th or 5th like on the 50 100. Then not much else to put on.

They added it a few patches back. Think it's been around for 3 patches or so. It's not just when they activate it or binocs. When you jump around and back to then you hear it again, so you know who has it or not when you jump from camper to "camper". They also show 6th sense if they are spotted etc. You basically get all the audio feedback they get. So you as the observer have a better idea why he ran, or why he did stop there etc late game.

Yea, I can adjust, it's just stupid to use camo nets on meds and heavies.

Don't you know the camo net sound? It might come from XVM, that I'm not sure of. 3 seconds pass and you hear a certain sound like something was covered with a blanket. :teethhappy: Same for when you watch your team mates.

Not everyone has the credits to buy complex equipment for every tank.

To be honest, sometimes when I am on my way to Vallhalla and watching rest of my team mates, I can hear that sound of camo net being activated. I don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but it does happen and I've noticed it.

Hmmm...

Never noticed this. Nice feature. Now I just need to start paying attention..

Its just that the normal equipment costs 500k+ a piece and costs gold to be moved between vehicles, while the camonet and binoculars can be moved for free so you only need 1 binos and 1 camonet to play lots of tanks (assuming you wait for the tank to be back from battle). So naturally people will use camonet and binos more than they really should, because they're poor (if this was a spaceship game we'd call them space-poor).

We all were beginners once. I used to use camo net on my Tiger 1 three years ago when I started playing. Of course since then I evolved and now I am using camo net on the Maus.

Don't really see the issue here. That's the point of having equipment, to let people choose what they want to use on their tanks and how they want to play them.

If you're going to take that away, then you might as well just delete the equipment mechanics from the game (which isn't going to happen).

Damn, people using the "unpredictability" cheat now.

Always expect the unexpected, except for the Spanish Inquisition. Nobody expects that.

WG should change the game so that every map is flat and featureless. Force every player to go head-to-head with the enemy so that its a game where the quickest reaction time wins.

Why not go one step further? Remove all tanks and have 15 arty v 15 arty. After all, that would take all need to think out of the game (according to some of the knowledgeable forumites).

When I meet enemies using camo nets I sure prefer them being on large heavy tanks than tiny bush-kemping TDs.
