I case you didn't noticed it, WG change the old training course with a new Boot Camp.
You can try it by clicking "esc" in game and chose the "Bootcamp" option.

It will lead you through a couple of training courses and some battles, each with its own objective.
They do get progressively harder, as to train new players the basic stuff about playing the game.

Personal I had a smacking good time trying it. I like it and think it is a vast improvement over the old training mode.

What is your take on it?

Edit for some spelling mistakes, and by doing that I apparently deleted the poll. Sorry!

It... Could be better.

It focuses on some different things than the old one.

I mean, at one point, it tells you to flank.

And then by the time you have done that, the bot tanks have driven off, and at no point does it say anything about armour mechanics.

The closest it gets is to get you to drive around a TD, and that is to stay away from its gun, instead of anything to do with shooting in the sides or rear.

Another thing it lost was the "how to lead targets"  when it does tell you to shoot at range, it is at targets that are stationary or moving towards you.

It doesn't say anything at all about spotting mechanics

It doesn't say anything at all about the armour mechanics for penetrating and defence, beyond "red reticule = bounce"

It doesn't say anything about the different classes available in the game.

It's shiny, but I actually think the old one was better. This is just padded out, without having even as much content as the old one (we already had a garage tutorial I believe, so that part of it was pretty unnecessary)

There should be a tutorial* on how to spell also.

Better then the old one, but after seeing someone with zero WOT experience try it. They were more confused then informed in most cases. As they just tell you to do something, but not the why or the how. Like why is it better to spot here vs there. Why do I have to aim at the lower plate vs the turret. And they gave you that low pen gun for that last mines battle. Even when using what they did learn. It don't help when the AP pen is not even enough for the rear lower plate of some tanks.

Lets just remember that they will add more onto this tutorial at some point.

But as it is right now, yeah it was fine. Way better then before.

That tutorial is basically worthless. It explains none of the game's mechanics and could be summed up to "use WASD to move around and shoot with LMB. Oh...and that that's how you unlock new tanks".

At the very least it should explain how penetration and armor angles work instead of "shoot when reticle is green".
