Sure. The comparison we made was about role. ISU was (and may be is, I did't try it yet after patch) in tier 8 what 183 and Jpz E100 are on tier 10. But unlike this ISU have a very unreliable armour.

This was news to me: Changed the research cost of the next vehicle in the branch—Object 704—from 176,500 to 192,500.

 

I did not realise I was extremely close to 176,500 after the 5x special, now I have to continue the grind.

I gotta be honest. After playing it even more "20+ games the past 2 days". I can't say I notice much difference. There is some ofc vs some more heavily armored tier X target head on.  But it still misses as much as before. Still takes half the HP of most targets as easy as before. Still gets most to hit the "S" key as fast as before. Tho.. the HP buff was useless. As it still dies as fast as before.

 

But the amount of people complaining when I see others playing it now. That's rather high. As most rage that they can't even pen a Comet, or a 50 100 or a Tiger II etc. Tho I suspect that's the lack of overmatching, 70 degrees, or tracks. Not lack of pen. As the biggest issue is still the accuracy on long rage on it. Not the "lack" of pen. As I had a match where I even gave an SU-122S a few bounces. I aimed at the lower hull. But hit the upper side at 80 degrees or more constantly at 300m. So yeah... no changes there.

They managed to [edited]up my favorite tank destroyer in game and probably the biggest legend in wwII. Thanks WG! Nerfing pen is not that drastical and its ok but gun handling, accuracy it so redicilous, this td becomes unplayable!!

I haven't played mine in ages, but watched a replay featuring one the other day and damn the new gun looks so bad compared to the old one. Couldn't they just have nerfed the stats and renamed the gun to something but kept the looks

You do realize that the ISU-152 still has more pen, even if it's slightly, but almost 150% of the damage potential the SU-122-54....and it has a faster reload than the T-30 which are both in tier 9? Since you are only sitting in the back left hand in your pants waiting to click an enemy tank coming into your base area / line of fire it's more than enough firepower.

I was about so say "but they only nerfed the pen a bit" but you meant the visuals.

 

You know you could always unpack the ISU and 704 models, put the BL-10 model in the ISU instead of the new gun, and stick the resulting folder in res mods, right?

Well yeah, but still it makes me a bit sad since only I will see it and to everyone else it will still look like a broken cotton candy cone taped to the front of the tank :/
