Just checked its stats. I didn't care much about German stuff but Tank Destroyers made me change my mind and so did this. Seems like a decent SPG but...

Dracula Drivers... is an ascension from my mortal state towards the new eerie level worth it? :)

Short answer, yes.

Longer answer, yeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssss.

With a fully trained crew, rammer and food the reload can be as low as 21.5s, which means it's great for missions. It's accurate, has a wide gun arc so you don't need to ruin your aim by moving the hull all the time and the shell velocity is fast enough to not have to plan your leading shots a week ahead.

If you're thinking about getting an arty for personal missions it's quite possibly the only one you'll ever need.

G.W Panther is an amazing SPG. It benefited from 9.18 too, and it's so much more consistent (unless you roll Himmelsdorf, because that's the map where  a lack of HEAT truly hurts)

Yes, the GW Panther should be able to handle quite a lot of the SPG missions.

Yup, imo easily the best tier 7 arty.

Kewl.)))

I liked the M12/M43 because they have something you can call armour and it was even possible to play them like TDs (which I was sadly forced to, many times), but seems like a good time to explore the German TT))

You will find out if will enjoy the GW Panther if you go via the PzS flVb, same wide gun arc and accurate high rof gun combination. It's a bit slower but gets -10 gun depression in compensation, sadly no stun but then low tier stun duration is too low to be really worthwhile anyways.

Armor? The M12 definately has no armor. Neither does the G.W Panther, but at least the upper glacis hull plate is well-angled and occasionally ricochets something. But yeah, I really like the G.W Panther. The accuracy is lovely and with the pseudo-turret it's very flexible.

Its biggest downside is the lack of engine power.

GW Panther is very powerful arty due to it's great accuracy, aim time and wide gun arc.

To put it into perspective, it's accuracy and aim time are only a bit worse than tier 10 bat chat arty, and since it has such wide gun arc it's almost as if it had a turret (well, it does, technically) and it's alpha is not that much worse than the said bat chat arty either, all that 3 tiers lower.

Other arties may have more alpha, stun and splash, but none is as reliable and consistent AND comfortable to play, apart from tier 9 and 10 frenchies.
