One of the most stupid arguments ever.

We dont need to buff bad tanks. Black Prince is fine "if you know how to use it". Tiger II is not bad, "you just need to learn how to use it". I like my TVP it is quite good when you know how to use it. SP C1 is just as good as T71 "you just need to know how to play it".

why even buff weak tanks when you just need to learn how to use them-_-

People use those arguments for showing off. They have desperate need of making people see how great they are.

It is obvious that there is no balance in the game and it is intentional. There are OP, weak and free xp tanks. All for the purpose of making people spend money.

WG introduce a new tank, line or tech tree with OP tanks in order to force people to grind. Then apply buff/nerfs rinse and repeat.

True. Just because i 3 marked my Tiger P with a 66% win rate doesn't mean it's a good tank, because it's not

Correct. Marking an tank is irrelevant, because it is measured against performance of others in the same tank.

Depends. Tiger II is good if you know how to use it. It's great for holding a corner, not pushing it, just like the Lowe. TVP is not good... even if you do know how to use it, as it can't even carry as top tier. SP 1C has crap DPM, but is a superb passive scout vs the T71. But not good in a 1 vs 1 unlike the T71. So it depends on the angle on that one.

But then again the WG devs used it as an argument in their defense that the Defender is not pay2win. As it's more on the driver then the tank, and if you know how to use it. I guess they never faced a Defender in their IS-6. So in that aspect.. it's really stupid to say so.

Well on some tanks the playstyle differs so much from the rest of the line or the usual class playstyle that you do in fact need to learn how to use it. 50b, TVP and batchat all have very different playstyles even though they are all fast autoloaders at the same tier for example.

Where do I research this X tank? I've looked through all the tech trees but can't find it. I need it to make my stats look better.

There are definitely tanks in the game that are "good if you know how to play it correctly".

This is very different to "Good players can make it work" and thats what people need to understand.

The TVP VTU is a horribly bad tank, good players will indeed make it work as they do every tank. But it is complete trash, and no matter your skill you will be severely gimped using it.

The AMX 50b however while to some may seem bad, is actually a very good tank if it is played in the correct manner. Once you learn how to play it in the correct manner it becomes a valuable asset to a team with anyone driving it.

But WG said TVP VTU was as good as Defender. And that a good player in VTU would win against player in Defender.

There definitely are bad tanks, no doubt about that.

But I think one problem is that many on these forums are prone to hyberbole when comparing tanks.

A tank has 0.5% better winrate? Clearly "A DISGUSTINGLY OP TANK THAT RUINS THE GAME."

A tank that has 1% lower DPM? Clearly "COMPLETELY USELESS PIECE OF GARBAGE THAT THERE IS NO REASON AT ALL TO PLAY!".

etc.

Obviously, very weak tanks should be buffed and probably will be buffed, eventually.

So, sarcasm give or take, in the gist of it, you're right.

However:

All the buffs/nerfs happen over time (over the course of multiple game patches, that is), - WG never change all the tanks stats at the same time, instantly.

So there will always be some powerful tanks near the OP end of scale, and some weak ones on the opposite end.

(Even if they finally buff some weak tanks that you think they should buff, something else will become the weakest thing, - imbalance never stops.)

That being said, obviosly a "good player" will never make a bad tank OP, and a "bad player" won't make an OP tank bad.

But, they can try and make the best or worst out of their tank, respectively. And sometimes this does make a difference on the battlefield.

And:

If a "good player" can't do any better than a "bad player" in the same tank, maybe he isn't quite so "good".

Conversely, if a "bad player" beats the shite out of you in any tank, maybe he's not such a bot as you'd thought, after all, - or maybe you aren't a perfect fighter, either.

Certain kinds of people like to talk about things they don't understand.
You should be used to that by now, especially on this forum.
