don't bother with it, it's a slippery slope, you'll start all new and fresh marvelling at the stats now being shown to you, after 500 games you'll be a pro eugenics fan  before the game even starts. Honestly all it will do is ruin the game for you.

Everyone will see your stats, information about you. While they can see some info in wot page, but not as precise.

Don't bother with it, there is reason why US Army gave up on idea of HMDS (Helmet-Mounted Display System) for their future soldier program called Talos.

And the reason is too much information soldier was getting so he could not focus on his basic duties, it's same with XVM. You'll be getting a lot of unnecessary info and that will make you lose focus on the flow of battle. It will make your performance worse.

Same like a soldier you need to know three basic things. Where am I ? Where is the enemy ? What is the objective ? You already have all of those in vanilla version.

With some exceptions, it is primarily a visual aid for people whose self worth is determined by their ability at an arcade game. It's not even that accurate.

You can find an unwanted one in my desktop rubbish bin :)

Best thing I did uninstalling it, information overload and half of it isn't relevant.

XVM-stats has limited potential outside of focusing down a player of your choice - usually regardless of what threat said player poses.

Stats are somewhat meaningless in measuring a player's performance in a single battle anyway. Even if my stats suggest I'm in the top 5% of players, I can't carry games that well, or play with any consistency. That's a feature reserved for the very top players, 1% or so I guess. At 30 players per match, there's one of those in each match on average. Yay.

What use is a mod that tells you if you or the enemy team has one player whose performance is consistent enough to matter in close to every game? :D

His loading the mod doesn't affect whether others can see his stats.

Ignore the people telling you not to get this.  It is in their interest you don't have it.   Watch how they criticise me for the following.

The site for the mod is www.xvmmod.com

Quickybaby's version is simple and  fine, however I load mine via Aslain's modpack.  With that you can choose from many options as to the Over Target Marker.  I have mine set to show the basic strength of the player as a colour.  Lots of other nice mods that meet the WG fair play policy can also be loaded.

WG keeps your stats and everyone can see them any time. It does not matter whether you have the mod loaded, your stats appear to other players who are using this mod.

You load the mod into your game then pop along to xvmmod.com and activate your services once a fortnight.  You log into WG via the xvm site.

Thanks for clarification. :)

I also use Aslain's modpack. Lots of nice things there and regular updates.

You have so many options within that pack as to how the XVM mod will look in game.

And also of not nice mods that don't meet WG fair play policy, so be careful with that one.

As other have stated, Quickybaby's modpack is nice and clean (legal too) and not to overloading in info or too different looking from vanilla to make it difficult or confusing to use for newcomers or veterans alike.

Not at all, all I was saying is I wouldn't bother because it will more than likely lessen his enjoyment of the game, If he wants it then by all means he can have it but it was one of the worst decisions I ever made in regards to this game nearly as bad as the one I  took buying the t-34-3......

Still, i have done FAR worse things - bought fcm as my first premium. Some scam bags told its a good prem. While perhaps for quickybaby and such, but nof for a noob as a first tier 8 tank...

The WN8 scale is actually saying less and less about someone's skill. Therefore the XVM mod's ability to show these WN8 scores of all the participating players is getting quite limited.

The only good thing is that the formumite mod is build ontop of the xvm mod. That way I at least know that I hardly play with formumites, unless I toon with my clan mates.

For me the scale goes more and more to removing the in battle xvm crap.

One thing that no one is mentioning which can be seen in a forumite's signature is that different sites display different WN8 ratings. Won't matter in game, but there's a noticeable deviation.
