I do find that two hours is longer than I want to play in a single session or my day goes something like this.....

Get up, cereal, school run. Toast, forum and then activate three Personal Reserves for 2 hours.

It is now 11:30 and I have yet to walk the dogs! Take the dogs out. Midday and I haven't done anything useful. Start doing something.

13:00 and it is lunch time. Start watching TV while I lunch. Before you know it, it is 14:00 and I have the school run in an hour.

Do the school run, get home, decide to do something and that is that: the day seems like it is almost over.

The point being that if I do activate a PR, then the day just seems to go to pot. If I DO NOT activate PRs, then I might play for an hour tops and then I get much more done because I start the day much earlier and make progress.

What I have started doing is activating the small bonus PRs that I have STACKS of: such as 25% for 2 hours. That way I don't mind wasting them. There is no way, however, that I am wasting a 2 hour 300% Crew bonus, so I tend to leave them for a time when I really can afford to play/want to play.

don't normally play for more than an hour anyway and I forget about them.  So by the time I remember it's too late to 'waste' them on a game or two.  No idea how many I have, just that it's 99+

I guess I should use them even if only for a single game because not using them gives me no benefit at all!

I agree that more credit booster reserves should be handed out. Those +100% combat XP reserves are nice but if you're running them all the time you'll soon find you're unlocking way more tanks than you can afford to purchase. So it's nice to be able to grind credits in premium tanks for 2 hours with a +50% bonus.

Dude that is the reason why WG is doing that. If you wan't fast progress you need to spend some $$

And thats why you have fortknox bundles

It would hit their income if they would not run when you are logged out. There are many players who play maybe 2 hours every week but they still have premium account running. If reserves would not run when you are logged out they would have reserves active almost 24/7 thus not as much need for premium time anymore. They do not want to allow those who play very rarely to have reserves activated all the time when they play. They want people who play 2 hours a day and people who play 20 minutes a day to have the same percentage of playtime under personal reserves.

This is how WG sees it ofc we players would enjoy it.

How would it hit their income? It would improve it!

Here's why… Currently me and many other people do not use reserves (wargaming themselves said many people don't use them it's in one of their dev diary videos on their official YouTube)

As for why that is. Wargaming thinks it's because people aren't aware of them that's why they added a bunch of stuff to tell you hey here's reserves and this is what you get for using them.

But my opinion is that people don't use them as they continue to be consumed while offline.

If wargaming fixes them and get more people to use them they make money as then people would be more likely to buy them!

If people aren't using it that's when wargaming loses money!

And by loses money I mean loses opportunities to make even more profit

I know but it's also one of the reasons I don't use personal reserves all the time (since it makes no sense to progress faster if my credit income doesn't keep up) sooo....  Giving out more credit boosters is one way of stimulating personal reserve usage. Especially since people are likely to activate other reserves along with the credit boosters.

I used to just forget so I had 200 or so various ones stored up, but have been using them regularly the past many weeks and am about halfway through the stockpile. Its mostly a manner of planning, but also a bit of dedication. 2 hours is a significant amount of time in anyones regular day.

I got 895, but I already unlocked all the tank lines, so I tend to forget about using them for crew training.

Spoiler

Hardly ever use them because I can't be bothered to activate them. I have a couple hundred of various types collecting dust, would be nice if we could sell them for credits though I guess that defeats the entire point of XP boosting reserves.

i would like wg to make reserves good for a number of battles instead of time.

could also imagine a choice between both at activation

Nobody buys them because they are terrible value for real money.  If you want crew training then buy gold, convert exp to free exp, convert free exp to crew exp.  If you want more exp then again convert exp to free exp, if you want more credits then buy them in the shop.  The only reason for using personal reserves is if you get them for completing missions without putting in any extra effort.

I keep not using mine partially because I forget about them, but largely because of some weird psychological notion that I won't get "full" value out of them. To maximise their use you need to commit to a 2 hour session and then spam games in the tanks you want xp/crew xp in. I  don't play like that, I prefer just to get my daily double and leave it there and often don't know how long I'll be on for.

Of course, I get exactly no value out of a reserve I never actually use so I've started just sticking them on regardless. It usually means more than half the duration of the booster is wasted on tanks I already have elited with multiple skills, but hey, its not like I paid money for them.

WG might find they get better uptake if they try to match the different ways people play. For example, I'd like a booster that boosted my xp or crew training on a specific tank for the next X games, regardless over what time period I chose to play those games.

With the exception of some 300% crew XP boosters that come with the top bundles of premium tanks all the others have landed for free, so there's no need to complain.

I often play for two hours in an evening, so activating them is no issue for me.

Sure...and they can do that to premium time too. Of course, I imagine the same choice for that.

While i don't care enough about them to spent any gold/money on them i keep using the ones that pile up over time. I just trow in 3 reserves when i know that i'll do a ~2h session that evening and forget about them - some more XP, crew Xp, free XP while playing like normal.

From ~500 i am by now down to about 150 by now - the 3 "extra silver" ones that i have are held back till i fancy grinding silver in T8 prems, but the rest? Simply speeds up grinding a bit. I started burning those where i had only 3-10 simply so i don't have to wade though a million different ones, now the bigger stacks of 50/100% ones are slowly being depleted.

I sort of prefer the idea of PRs of one hour over two hour ones.

I havent got a clue how many have, probably 000's as ive only used them a couple dozen times, ive noticed when i enable them I seem to get total fail teams and losses up to the point the timer runs out.
