What graphics setting were you using?

No, that tank has just been buffed with 50t of rear armour. New balancing feature.

Turn up either the terrain detail or turn on improved render (I can't remember which it is) and watch your replay again.

That's why you shouldn't play WoT on an advanced abacus...

Terrain detail.

Any setting will do except the lowest.

And imo, it is one of two settings which you should always try to put on maximum regardless of your PC, the other being rendering range.

I watched it (with my settings of course) and there is quite a prominent rock peak pointing out of the ground (I think I too got once stuck there myself. Well, I managed to wriggle myself down from it but without seeing it I guess it is rather impossible to nudge yourself back to safer ground)

Like the others said, try to set your terrain details a bit higher.

Oh, and in chat, don't just call 'Help', add something like "I'm stuck, pls push me", otherwise your teammates have to take wild guesses what's up (and given how often some redbob hits F7 for no useful reason that bit of extra information is needed)

Oh, and have a screenshot from me watching the replay in which I tried to emulate your third image:

Thanks for all your answers.

However gameplay shouldn't differ so much only because I'm using lower graphics' settings so my laptop doesn't overheat. Now I know why I often hit an invisible ground while using gun depression.

I'm amazed that WG have not removed those two humps on that map yet, considering we have seen topics like this for years on that map.

If they had the same number of polygons in the terrain at low detail as they do at high detail then it would stress your laptop just as much as turning up the detail level does.  So if that's what you want then turn up the detail.

Or do you want us all to play on a completely flat map with 1980's wireframe graphics so it's a level playing field?

Take a look at WarThunder for example that's far worse than WoT.

When on ultra low not only the bushes are see through but even some destructible object don't render until youre closer to them.

It's because the terrain hitbox is server side. And it's set for the default graphic settings. Thus it can't "compensate" for lower details when the terrain uses less polygons to render their lines. Thus most will seem flatter or more even if you will vs what the server says. And since the server calculates everything. He says you are on top of the bump. Even when your client says there is nothing there.

It's not as bad now vs before. Because before, playing on low was basically as good as using "wallhack" on historical battles. Those with medium to high settings can't see half the enemy movement in the forest. Those with low details can see every single one of them.

Because hd rocks, or whatever excuse of the month is used for not fixing maps.

Rocks with 4 polygons, such HD, wow... They need to fix this, and pretty sure it will be when the HD maps arrive... I also run on low settings, not because my PC sucks, manly because every time I turn the improved settings, game just looks so freaking awful.

remember:

always set terrain detail to maximum!

it doesnt hurt your fps,

mods do.
