How are Tier V and VI holding up?

I haven't played in a while but I'd like to know how infested the game rooms are with T67s and Type 64s. I've been thinking about grabbing the Chinese one because I like fast tonks but I'm not sure if that's a great idea considering the new changes. Though I'm kinda worried that it might get pulled off from sales because of that, in the next patches, slow turret traverse, useless radiotelegrafista and seal clubbers turn me off from buying it...

I know it's asking too much but if you can offer MM pics, that would be lovely.

Thank you.

Type 64's are everywhere (god I hate them)

T67's still there, but easily bummed by most things they meet - Tier V Leo gets them in a single clip

Quite well actually. Not many high-skill players play this tier, so there is plenty of room to pad stats, i.e. to club some baby seals.

But, unless you are a hardcore stat padder, it gets boring soon. It's not fun to play against players who still don't know how to use W and A properly.

Tier V boring?

It's about as good as this game gets.

Just no.

I've been clubbing in my T-34 a bit, and still the DPM just murders stuff left right and centre

Horses for courses my good man.

Anything above Tier VIII gets a little too 'Try Hard' for my taste.

Sure, if it's a challenge you want, that's the way to go, but if you're just after *Edited & giggles, then it's Tier V all the way.

low tiers are boring and imo more imbalanced.

a decent player in a op tank will just decimate the other team

I got myself a Sherman II (Derp) and a Pz IV H (Derp) for relaxation.

Found it relaxing.

I also got a Pz III/IV.  A Cromwell at Tier V.  Love it.

Tier 5 (mostly tier 5 games in 5/10 format with 5 tier 6s) are really not fun to play unless youre the sealclubber. Type 64 / 59-16 / T67 / insert any tier 6 light tank here / Cromwell are the only tanks you can have fun with right now because they're the ones ruining tier 5 and 6 (IMO)

WoT?

Tier 8 and above is either powercreeped or broken as hell at the moment. The only way to enjoy it is either play tier 9 with it's pmm, tier 10 with smm ( special mm ) hoping you get good mm or tiers 4 to 5 because they never meet the broken tier 8 tanks. Tier 7 pmm tanks at least get better mm more often at least from my perspective...rarely had games meeting those broken tier 8 tanks.

I am grinding the French Heavy line atm, now at T5

Seen quite a few E25, T67 ,and other not so balanced tanks played by people with +30k battles. Getting 4-6 kills. I would say every 3 games. Otherwise its okey.

Not playing my premium T8 though i probably should, the fun is gone with the new MM. Armor is a joke. Its all about mobility, hight pen + alpha. Have not bounced a shot for ages in the T26E5.

Adivce is dont buy a T8 premium, your not going to enjoy it unless its a Scorpion G or sutch.

From my own recent experiences, any of the tier 6 lights and the Cromwell are all good choices for tier 6 if it is statpadding you are after.

I recently ground the 59-16 and with a potato 75% crew I was getting 2 - 2.3k WN8. I've also gone back to my Cromwell B, a tank I purchased when I was a 800 WN8 lowbob and it cleans up. In a fast tank that pew-pews and with rudimentary tank and map knowledge even an average greenie such as myself can pull (bl)unicum games quite often.

They do meet their matches though, namely in the battery of invisible T-67s *Edited camping base, so while you may lead the team in rolling through the map there are the games where you are balanced by T-67s.

Lights at tier 6 + crom b, leopard + t-67 at tier 5, stuart + luchs at tier 4. I play only these tiers and most good players have them and performing very good!

A Luchs on T4, a Leopard on T5 and a Type 64 on T6 should suffice for all of your padding needs!

This will always be a problem, not because of vehicles like T67 and so on, but simply because inexperienced players meet skilled ones. I strongly believe that even without T67/Luchs/Type 64 sealclubbing would be still issue. New player without good crew and experience is simply no match for vet in his favourite well equiped vehicle.

But still games are quite fun to me. In worst you meet 3 T7/T8 and there is always something to do.

It is not even the player skill: crew + equipment allready are enough to make battles highly unfair on lower tiers - Someone with 105%.crew and optics/rammer simply outspots and out-DPMs the guy with his 75% crew and no equipment so badly that only with a massive difference in player-skill the odds are remotely even. Anyone remembers the days of the FCM_PAK and province where only 1 team having one with Binos was basically auto-win?

Whenever I take out my Panzer V/IV I laugh at Type64's that think they have good camo and then I spot them easily with my 450m viewrange on my Tier 5 medium with better gunhandling than them as well :teethhappy:

Still the same with Mittengard and the FCM-Pak40, maybe even worse.

As an alternative tier 5 sealclubber, the Bishop. That ROF + enemy heavies with only 50/75% crews = permatracted to death. Only problem is 1750dmg done to mostly tier 6's, is only worth a first class mastery, damn you cellaman7 with your 8002 games in it, leave some for the rest of us.

Don't rule out a well equipped and crewed Marder 38T - this thing can cause a lot of havoc and only really struggles to pen the O-1 and M4 when it meets them.  Most of my battles in this thing are mid or bottom tier and yet I am averaging 525 dmg per game.  Many people totally under estimate the DPM and pen when they come across it and think that they can trade against this weak glass cannon.  They soon learn that a 2.7 sec reload is really mean:).  Got a kolobanovs as mid tier on Lakeville Encounter the other day, so it can't be that bad a tank.

Most of the stat-padder tanks that I see are Hetzers, Luchs, T67 and cromwells.  Luchs do my head in if there are too many on the red team, real buggers to hit at range as they mosquito all over the place, MG spamming like a spray gun.
