Which WZ chinesse light tank (including 59-16) is most efficient for it's tier ? I have 59-16 and i'm thinking should I go futher into the tree and what WZ would be good for regular play.

59-16 is good fun.

The WZ-131 is kind of lacking for me (but only 3 battles), low dpm mainly.

The WZ-132 looks good on paper.

When elited the wz131 is great fun, 132 accuracy nerf has hit it hard for me,5916 is great too - why not get the type 64 and train crews for a few of them

I can get 131 soon enough but the armor penetration concerns me, it's quite low not much improvement from 59-16. Maybe it's enough.

Wz131 used to be fun till the dpm got nerfed on the low pen gun, 132 and 132a are annoying because 7 second reload on a lt is usually the difference between getting 2 shots in on a flanked target. Haven't tried tier 10 yet. Honestly the type 62 is the best it's basically a slightly less gimped version of the old 131 which in new mm makes it a very nice tank. Honestly I think the concept of many of the new lt makes them equal to 1 tier lower meds, I would take less pen and less alpha if I could get reloads under 6 seconds.

I like 131, 132 and 132a (yet to drive 132-1). I have good crews (at least 3 skills) which is important as their camo and v/r are their key strengths. These improve dramatically with the right skills.

As Coldspell says, Type62 is the pick of the bunch (note lower pen than 131 but significantly better v/r and dpm), borderline OP currently. I always take a few HE shells for autoloaders and particularly the type64 with its crazy dpm.

I defo would not recommend this line though for inexperienced players. Or probably any light line. Safest bed would be a reliable heavy like a T29 or kv3, If that's too slow, try a reliable sniper/flanker like a t20.

Tier 8 WZ 132 is beast at its tier. Tier 7 was even better, but no idea now after change. Personaly I doubt its much weaker now.

Tier by tier WZ 132 is for sure awesome tank, as it has firepower comparable to meds, just little lower but overall more mobile, better at scouting and generally more fun. In worst you can play it like med, given the fact it has better alpha than most of them.

Between the 59-16, WZ-131 and WZ-132 and assuming the tank is elited with it's crew having at least their first skill (camo):

For me personally the WZ-131 seems to be the most efficient (250 btl, 53% wr).

Second comes the WZ-132 also at 53% WR.

Even tho i personally favors the 59-16.

You didn't mentioned the Type-64 (premium), that one would be the most efficient for it's tier.

Going from 59-16 to WZ-131:

- The 200 alpha damage makes a big difference vs 115

- 138 AP pen vs 159 for AP shells, but WZ has HEAT instead of APCR, buffing the pen from 180 to 230.

- WZ-131 has lower p/w ratio (25,7 vs 27,27) but comes with less ground resistance (0,6/0,7/1,3 vs 0,8/0,9/1,6).

- Camo value both around 32/7 with some minor variations, view and radio range are similar

Going from WZ-131 to WZ-132:

- Better gun handling (aim time 2,4 vs 2,21) and shorter reload time which gives it a higher DPM (1854 vs 2207 -with gun rammer installed)

- Improved p/w ratio (29,41 vs 25,7) and slight ground resistance upgrade (0,5/0,6/1,3 vs 0,6/0,7/1,3)

- Also somewhat higher top speed (60km/h vs 64km/h) and track traverse (56,32 vs 58,41)

But their efficiency would really more depend on your play style with them and as well your map knowledge. But if you do ever happen to be top tier in the WZ-131/WZ-132 (which i had the joy of having since the new MM) it's a blast to drive around and bully the lower tier tanks.

Before the LT patch it was a no-brain answer imo since LTs saw +3 mm so by choosing the 132 at tier8 could at worst only see +2 but all that's changed now and all LTs that faced +3 tiers before are now +2 so things need more consideration. I had all these tanks though the WZ131 only briefly. The 59-16 with the autoloader, high camo, good view range, low profile, bouncy hemispherical turret and agility was one of my favorite keepers to play for fun but all that's changed now it's a totally different tank so I haven't even played it since then, I can already see it's blind view range make it an inefficient LT for scouting and spotting enemies first and at range plus the auot-loader is gone so since the question is "which WZ light tank is most efficient" this is no longer the case, thought it is not a WZ so... anyway.. I'd still recommend going with the 132 over the 131 since it is better in every way and therefore more efficient although you will potentially face one tier higher and one tier less than the 131 it still has enough of a substantial gain to the important areas like pen and gun handling, view range, to make it the most efficient LT of the line-up.

Unfortunately for the WZ range, so far as my WoT is concerned, my once relatively inferior tier8 T54ltb is now tier 9 and feels, plays and delivers results massively superior to the WZ132 so the 132 is pretty much retired from service.. not that the 132 is that bad it's just not as good so why would I therefore chose an inferior and less efficient tank when given the choice? Add to that the fact I also have a Bulldog which I think is the better tank at tier8 with it's laser shell velocity, gun dep and superior view range along with a tier9 T49 which I play with the 90mm featuring an insane 2500+ dpm as standard, massively better pen, colossally better view range and although the 132 is more agile.. it just can't live with that kind of performance so both my 59-16 and WZ132 keepers are totally retired now and although I have not sold them yet, will never use them..

So I'd recommend you go down the US or Soviet LT route tbh.. I haven't played the T71 but I can see it looks superior at tier7 with it's autoloader and view range...

Here are the LTs I currently have kept in my garage though largely unused for the last while since I've just been too busy moving and such.. They are kitted out with equipment I have on them and also all have the situ-awareness skill I also have on them so they are pretty much how they are in my garage. I took clutch breaking for the T49 because it feels a little bit of a Hellcat like barge to turn at times but you can see how my WZ132 and 59-16 are pretty much digital scrap metal now :( at least by comparison I simply have better tanks to do their role.. so again I'd recommend moving to another nation

I don't like open turrets. Rain and stuff..

I guess I'll stay with 59-16 and consider US

I miss the autoloader and that tank...

1.33s between shells is just way too trollish.

I have been doing ok so far in that line, only got to the 131 yet but nothing really to complain about yet. 59-16 and 131 have decent mobility and speed and makes it possible to get into position to do some damage.

Haven't played the 13 90 or higher yet but I have a feeling just like the type62 is probably the best of the wz line atm it will be pretty hard to beat the 13 57F tier for tier.

I had sub 50% win rate in both those tanks before the LT changes they are both over 60% solo randoms now which is punching way way above my weight, I am 54-55% at best.

I have higher win percentage, higher damage per game, higher spots and higher kills per game in the type62 then I do in my M41 bulldog which I sold without playing a single game in after the LT changes so thats the Old m41 bulldog when it was an OP monster.....

Forgetting all that the type62 and 13 57 are just fun tanks to play, they are nimble have quirky guns, the type62 having low pen but really nice handling and the 13 57 having low pen but a really oportunist autloader that reloads fast then some single shot heavies at those tiers..

The WZ-131 is a very good tank and an ideal 'next step'. But if you ever see the Type 62 for sale that is the better tank at tier VII, much higher dpm, better aim time, better camo, you just lose a bit of penetration and damage per shot.

chinese scouts have such a decent camo it almost seems criminal to run them without a camo net. But that is just my opinion.

Type 62 hands down

There's simply no game where you are useless in this tank.

Before the light nerfs though i have to say 59-16 with the autoloader was insane in the hands of a pro. It was my alltime favourite for SH, enemy cromwells cried everytime we used two of these as fighter jets.
