So I don't really know where to go, currently at the IS-3 and don't want to move up to tier 9 yet I tried the T1 Heavy didn't really like it so, where should I go?

The T10 is a great tank...

way better than i predicted, mostly because most of the time i see players underperform in it... any solid player will have excelent results with it

and the grind is easier than other tier IX, because the stock turret is ok, and you can play it with the BL9 gun

i find that tier 9 is currently a much better enviroment to play than tier 8...

Much depends on the type of tanks you feel comfortable in.

There are many branches of the Tech tree that I haven't explored yet. I have followed the Russian Heavy line through the IS3 up to the IS-7, but I don't play the T9 or T10 very often.

I found the British med line interesting. Some were a bit painful, but the Matilda is good as is the Cromwell, even the Comet.

USA TD's are pretty good, Wolverine and Hellcat, then T25/2, I am trying to avoid the turret less ones.

Exploring Light tanks at the moment. Love the Chaffee, T37 isn't bad on the USA tree, also starting the Russian Lights.

Havent touched the French yet, Got a couple of Swedish tanks and TD's.

Got as far as the O-I on the Jap heavy tree - that is fun in a platoon.

The main thing is to enjoy playing the tanks. OK the grind between them can seem endless, especially the higher you go, but I try and keep a positive mindset, and treat that grind as a learning experience. Get the tank fully upgraded and kitted out, get the crew trained up.

T-10 is a big step up from IS-3. It doesn't have the foolproof armor but a very punchy gun and heavium mobility. My last game in it was a 2 tier game on Himmelsdorf where i slugged it out against multiple enemy tanks waiting on the south side of the banana while bouncing shots from a Löwe, IS-3 and JT then went around to flank them to get their sides and rear while the IS-6s on my team were providing a meatshield distraction. It's really not a classic heavy and imo it's worth giving it a try if you are adept to a slightly slower medium playstyle.

T-10 is the logical next step, I think, though many would say IS-3 is the best tier 8 tank (the current tier 8 MM somewhat undermines that, though).

You could always just play and enjoy the IS-3 forever.

Pick another line/tank and press battle.
Yes, it's that simple.

But...what do you do when youve researched every line to tier 8 or 9 but are still iffy on taking that step forward?

Its bloody awful up there, as my RHM is rapidly finding out

I don't know, but I know what you shouldn't do. You should not, under any circumstances, buy a panther II.

The only way you're going to learn to cope with it is by learning to cope with it.

Wisdom indeed. The hand that is burned teaches best.

Although It's better if its someone else's hand

You could also start grinding your way up the Chinese line
since the higher tier tanks are copy paste yet slightly different

I may try that, I'm currently at the Type T-34 I think it's called? I heard the tier 9 + 10 was really good.

T-10 is a great tank. Flexible enough to cope with all the maps, and with the new MM it can always find good tactics for each game. Try not to play it like a true brawler, and be prepared to use the speed to relocate.

Man up and start the British Heavy line, its mostly complete trash but the Tier 9 and 10 are OK.

The T-10 is amazing, even worth selling the IS-3 for it.

T1 heavy is good tank. I've done surprisingly well in mine. was going for the T29.

British heavy line is painful.

Japanese heavies ? OI is just silly good but they seem to be nerfing it to push people up the tiers.
