By that, I mean a clan that takes part in SH/CW/Global Map.

I've been reading the CW stuff on the game website page and I found the principle very interesting and now I know why people are so upset WG has somewhat thrashed the game mode (apologies if that's an understatement).

The idea of earning gold in-game - as opposed to in-game gold - is very appealing, but, running the risk of sounding and/or being a freeloader and useless dead weight to an existing clan, I'd like to know what should a player bring to the table (apart from TS, speaking X language, owning n amount of vehicles and so on).

Bbut not extreme examples like FAME. Not that I have the interest, but I hear a lot that people reroll to get in it but suspect the final decision belongs to them... and I don't think I'll reach that level so fast anyway.

@moderation team: posting this in the Gameplay section since this has more to do with play style rather than clans.

Nothing special, have the right tanks for tier8 or tier10 CW, depends what you want.
A 1500wn8 clan can already do quite a lot on the map and SH since WG made it much easier for avg clans.

I was in a 1800 wn8 clan and we where already very succesfull in campaigns and CW.

Tier8 CW and SH is already fun and earn well, there arw prob even 1000wn8 clans playing it.

If you got like 3000+ WN8 recent from last 1000 battles on t10 tanks you shouldn't have any problems find decent clan. Overall stats or low / medium tier stat padding doesn't matter.

Any average WR and wn8 is enough to get some success on map and in SH.
Better skilled clan doesn't really matter in current SH/CW environmemt. Same reward roughly same WR.

You think that derp guns and arta are good for the game. Forget about any sub-decent clan. Ever.

Also you have 800wn8, even though you have 1200 games in Chafee...

Serious clans make their requirements clear and available to all. All you need to do is to check if you qualify.

As above. Then go to sites like Noobmeter or wotlabs (there are others) where you can check your stats against those required for a clan of interest and then apply. That or just go here http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/forum/51-looking-for-a-clan/ and post something and see what happens.

Good luck

If you want to join a decent competitive clan you need to have good stats in competitive tanks, or just be a good player.

And as said, most decent clans clearly state what their requirements are. You could also contact recruiters of good clans to ask what they look for in players, what you would need to improve on etc.

In addition to all that's been said about stats, you also have to unlearn a lot from Randoms and learn how to play as a team player.

Pushing round a corner or over a ridge, as a team often means that 2 or 3 tanks in your team WILL die.  Players who are experienced in Randoms and new to team play often hit 'S' as soon as they are hit and start playing peek-a-boo.

The clan based team modes are quite different to randoms.  For one it's not the MM that decides the tanks on your team.  As such there are rarely any arty in the game.

If this all sounds appealing you could join one of the WOT-UNI clans (they train players).  In fact you don't even have to join to go to the training.
